Got a hankering for some fish tacos or an artichoke melt ?
The Green Iguana in Winthrop Town Center will open by early November, Alan Fosco, a managing partner with the company that owns the local bar/restaurant chain, said today.
Fosco said the Winthrop location, in Riverview at the southeast corner of Providence Road and Bloomingdale Avenue, will be similar to the Green Iguana's five other spots in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.
"The menu's the same, the entertainment's the same, the vibe is the same," he said.
That means patrons can order everything from calamari to conch fritters to pizza and nachos in a beach-bar atmosphere. There'll be live music, too.
The Green Iguana will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

When I first came to Brandon in 1988, I thought, "There's a McDonald's here, so it can't be all bad." After a year, I moved to St. Petersburg and then Lakeland.
