Forget Sharon. Here are some real sexy scenes

Sharon Stone uncrosses her legs a few times in Basic Instinct (and the sequel) and world stops rotating? Hot, but she wouldn't make the top sexiest moments in the 80s. And to prove it...

Top 10 sexiest film moments of the 80s:

10. Kevin Costner and Sean Young's limo ride in No Way Out (1987)
9. Shower scene in Dressed to Kill (1980)
8. Fun with food in 9 1/2 Weeks (1986)

7. The lobster dinner in Flashdance (1983)
6. Peter Gallagher with Daryl Hannah and Valerie Quennessen in Summer Lovers (1982).
5. Rob Lowe and Demi Moore spend half the movie naked in About Last Night (1986)

4. Kelly McGillis and Harrison Ford connect in Witness (1985)
3. Tom Hanks is nearly seduced by buxom pal in Bachelor Party (1984)

2.
Phoebe Cates' topless fantasy scene in the classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982): Many people would love to see this scene in the top spot, but given the -- ahem -- awkward ending to it, I'm bumping it to No. 2 in favor of...

1.
Joel meets Lana in Risky Business (1983): Some people prefer the "love on a real train" scene from this movie, but give me the initial introduction between the two characters any day. Wind blows open the door, leafs fly in, camera pans past boyhood photos. Excellent stuff. If only real life could be this exquisite.

What movies and scenes are missing from the list?

I don't care what anyone says...Kathleen Turner was hot there. Sizzling! Thanks for mentioning this one!Anonymous said...Michelle Pfeiffer singing "Making Whoopee" on the piano in Fabulous Baker Brothers. Yes! Another sizzler! Ok, how about Patrick Swayze and Kelly Lynch doing their slow screw against the wall in "Road House"?Another great scene is the one in "Less Than Zero" when Andrew McCarthy and Jami Gertz are in the convertible car making out and all the bikers ride in formation past their car with all the lights and engines blazing? For some reason, that turned me on. Vrrroooom vrrroooom! :DOf course, their against the wall screw back at the house later on in the flick set to Van Halen's "Bump and Grind" was a good one, too.And okay, how about Judd Nelson and Molly Ringwald in the closet at school in "The Breakfast Club"? Not much sex going on there, but I must admit to being a bit turned on by the prospect of them getting it on after all the fighting they had been doing in that movie prior to that scene. Make up sex rocks!

Amadeus -- Great list! The waterfall scene from Cocktail is definitely a contender in itself. Of course, there's also the earlier scene with Tom and the photographer he meets in the bar ("There's nothing inanimate about Coral")

RockMeAmadeus

You could almost do a top 5 list for Tom Cruise sex scenes:-- The two scenes from Risky Business-- Tom and Lea Thompson in All The Right Moves-- Tom and Kelly in Top Gun-- Tom and Elizabeth Shue in the waterfall in CocktailThat's just the 80s.

Darryl Hannah & Adian Quinn in the indoor pool scene in "Reckless", without any doubt!!!

Nic Cage and his ex-girlfriend in the bathroom in Valley Girl.

These are all great but I'm surprized no one mentioned the "elevator scene" with Michael Douglas and Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.

Anonymous

I agree about the scene from Against All Odds. Ellen Barkin and Dennis Quid in The Big Easy simply because they have some of the sexiest smiles/smirks ever.Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing- the unedited one that is for some reason cut out so often on TV. The chemistry was so hot b/w those two.Fatal Attraction before the psychotic break. Love the use of the sink.P.S. Ghost and Basic Instinct were both films from the 90's.

Michael Douglas and Jeanne Tripplehorn in Basic Instinct. Hottest ever!

Steve Spears

Body Heat is a must-include. I apologize for the exclusion.
