That's so RAD!
Would you like a little cheese with your '80s? Then check out this clip from the 1986 movie RAD, starring Bill Allen and Lori Loughlin (who was much better in "Secret Admirer").
Much thanks to long-time listener Peter Ryan of Montreal, Canada, for sending me the link to the clip.

LOL @ Christine!
What's funnier than that is the fact that Madonna was younger than me in the 80s, but now she's older than me.
When did time stand still?

*stares at the monitor open-mouthed*
OMG, that's the greatest/cheesiest 80s clip ever!
That's even worse than Lorenzo Lamas breakdancing in "Body Rock" (1984), or Mario Van Peebles and Eriq La Salle rapping in "Rappin'" (1985), or ex-Menudo singer Bobby Rosa acting in "Salsa" (1988)!

Trunk. Not Truck. I can't even get my own "40-Year Old Virgin" reference right.

You know what? I was just talking about this movie the other day with someone. This, and "Thrashin" starring Josh Brolin. Was it Team Mongoose that was the big BMX team in this movie? And I also remember a scene Mr. Hand from Fast Times At Ridgemont High flippin' off someone. Alas..."I hope you have a big truck, 'cause I'm puttin' my bike in it!" Sorry, wrong movie. Ha Ha.

Wow! I don't even think that the guys at MST3k would have been willing to touch THAT steaming heap!

'Rad' was directed by Hal Needham, whose filmography includes the 'Smokey and the Bandit' and 'Cannonball Run' franchises, 'Megaforce' and 'Body Slam' with Rowdy Roddy Piper. All deserving of their own podcasts, if you ask me.

This is cheese, but last week I saw part of the ultimate in cheese with a movie called "Hollywood Air Force" (I remembered it as "Weekend Warriors").
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092195/
It stars Lloyd Bridges, Chris Lemmon, and Vic "Mel's Diner" Tayback. Basically, it's set in the 60's and the characters are in the reserve to avoid being shipped to active duty.
It's kinda like "Stripes" meets "Police Academy" meets "Naked Gun" meets "M*A*S*H".
It's not very tolerable, and one scene really stuck out for me...there's a scene where a guy in the cafeteria is trying to play like M*A*S*H's Corporal Klinger and act insane by barking like a dog.
He bites the leg of Lloyd Bridges and there's a guy standing in the cafeteria line who looks like a cross between Jon Cryer and they lead singer for Flock of Seagulls, because he's got that "V"-style hairdo going on. I'm thinking when did the military allow this hairstyle, and when was this popular in the 60's???

Wow. Just, wow.
How sad is your movie when you get a William Zabka lookalike to be the bad guy?
Couldn't they afford the Real Thing?

That was so...bad.

Lori Loughlin went to my high school. Of course she is *much* older than me.
