Another reunion to squeeze in
Squeeze is back together and on the road this summer. The band will tour the U.S. (dates) and U.K. (dates) to support a new anthology ("Essential Squeeze") and remastered releases of the band's back catalog.
According to Pollstar.com, members Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook have signed on to the reunion but a final lineup hasn't been announced. (More than a dozen other musicians have been in the lineup over the years.) Rumors say John Bentley will return on bass guitar and Tilbrook's touring band will fill in the other gaps.
It's been eight years since the English band last toured and nearly 30 years since its self-titled debut album.

2. Cool For Cats: "By the time I'm sober, I've forgotten what I've had."

'Annie Get Your Gun' was always my favorite. I also loved 'Pulling Muscles From a Shell'.

It would be so cool if they could get Jools Holland to join them, but I know he does a lot of TV hosting these days so we can probably forget that. Just hope it doesn't end up being Glenn, Chris, and three guys in their 20's that no one's ever heard of.

I enjoy a few Squeeze tunes, but I really enjoy Paul Carrack's tunes with the band. I also have enjoyed all of Paul's work with different bands(ACE, Mike & the Mechanics).
But I really enjoy his solo work more then any band he was in...

As far as I know Paul Carrack only sang lead on one Squeeze track ever, but it in true ironic fashion, it was their monster hit "Tempted". I'm a Carrack fan too ("How Long" by Ace always rates a volume increase on my car radio) but I think Squeeze made a lot of great music before and after his brief time with the group.
