Four unexpected words: Boy George on tour

Boy_george Last time we saw Boy George, wasn't he sweeping streets on prison work release or community service? Or chaining his friends to bedroom walls?

Well, the Boy is back in town. Pollstar.com reports that Boy George has a series of concert dates planned for this summer, including a few stops in the U.S. out on the west coast.

I can't speak for all of 80s Nation, but I'd rather see a Boy George impersonator now than the real thing. You know, someone who'll dress Old School and play the classics. And let's face it, someone who doesn't like one of the Munsters.

It's not so much that those four words are unexpected, it's just that I would expect to see them in a different order...

George on tour boy.

Good grief -- he really does look like he's auditioning for the role of Uncle Fester in the the touring company of The Addams Family: The Musical.

Saw Boy George on an old Charlie Rose interview some years ago.

He's plenty smart, well-read and--all his problems and peccadilloes aside--a more than decent vocalist, and a top notch entertainer.

I'd go see him.

I'd still hit it

My husband and I saw him in New Yoru about 2 years ago. He walked around a corner and then we just watched his massive, tattoed head wander up the street. It was an awesome star-spotting moment (but nothing will top standing behind Leo Sayer in the Tesco supermarket in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, UK!)

Did seeing Leo make you feel like dancing, Emily ;-)

I love hearing about star-spotting moments.

The only times I've seen stars is when I slept in a top bunk bed that was close to the ceiling and I sat up quickly --forgetting where I was. BAM! Like a Looney Tunes cartoon. But I digress.

He totally looks like Darth Vader after he's had his mask removed in Return of the Jedi.

You don't know what you#re missing.
But rest assured,we won't me you! LOL

Damn, doesn't Boy George kinda look like the version of Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi when Luke took off his mask in the Death Star? Very creepy looking guy, indeed!

I love Boy George...I can't wait to see him in Orlando, Fl- I think he is one of the most 'overlooked' musicians of this era. His best songs were never on the charts, I think he was better at the more emotional slower songs.

One must remember this picture is taken with his make up off, which the PRESS loves to get from ANYONE. He is truely pretty with make up on. I saw him in London a few weeks back and what a great show. Go to youtube to see. Further more we all get older. At least he can still sing, DJ and put out singles.
