Awesome!

I really loved Major Tom, still do. Then last year I heard a band called Possible Oscar do a brilliant retelling of the sci-fi movie Serenity to that tune called "Captain Mal." I was listening to my iPod at the time and just died laughing and singing on the sidewalk near my house, and my friends saw me and said, "What the hell were you listening to??" FIRST I had to explain my love affair with Major Tom. THEN I had to explain I was even geekier than that. They still tease me!

Love the show, guys!!

CHAD

some cool tunes in there, totally forgot about love plus one. funny frikkin video. i do like the scritti politti tune.

Michelle

Dang--now I want to watch "Young Frankenstein."
"Putting on the Riiiiiiiiitz."

1989 One hit wonders FINALE? What is that mean, dude?

Bassnote

Michael Penn's "No Myth" would be a good song to add to the one hit wonders of 1989 list. Too bad he was a one -hitter because I liked that album.

Greg Jones

Isn't it a shame that David Johansen will be better remembered for Buster than he will be for either The New York Dolls or his 'normal' solo career?
Oh well, it's a catchy tune, and more accessible to the masses than "Dance Like A Monkey".

Marissa

Thanks to Sean's tale of his cruise, whenever I hear Buster Poindexter my thoughts run to his impersonation of his mom rooting for the tanned Germans in water basketball "ooooh they're so beautiful!"
