The Boy is back in town
Is St. Petersburg, Fla., ready for Boy George? No matter the answer, because favorite cross-dressing-turned-felon has just announced he'll play Jannus Landing on July 27.
Pollstar.com has a full list of Boy George's latest tour dates, which is full of the usual House of Blues and Hard Rock stops. But an outdoor show in late July in Florida? Was this part of George's community service sentence?
It's not clear what Boy George is promoting on his current world tour -- his first in 10 years -- other than hopefully paying off what have to be enormous legal bills thanks to his random shenanigans. Still, you gotta figure he'll draw a decent crowd of the curious -- even if he just stands on stage and spins records.
Check out the message boards at Digital Spy for the latest fan talk about his live shows.

Hey Brohter(big tex), come on down for the squeeze show. I'm closing on my house end of Aug/1st of Sep so I can't offer you a bed but Angelina is a mean cook. Didn't you say you were from El Paso, I think? I'm from El Paso by way of Los Angeles (circa 1980ish). Coronado class of '87.
Let me know,
Mike

Good grief, I'm schvitzing just thinking about a show at Jannus in July. A place that's basically a courtyard with not much room for ventilation. It'll be like a show in the sauna at the Y.
(And mi hermano Mike, you are killing me. Killing me, I tell you.

Speaking of Regeneration, will the SIT80's nation rally for the tour stop in Florida end of August? I've never seen Missing Persons, the wife is giving me the thumbs up to fly solo.

You realize Boy George is here in Tampa Bay the same week as Journey-Heart-Cheap Trick and right before The Time and Regeneration Tour in Vegas?
It's 80s week, baby!
