U2 to re-release their classic LPs
Good news for music fans ... bad news for those already financially overextended on summer concert tickets: U2 is re-releasing their first three albums this summer.
"Boy," "October" and "War" will be available on July 22 on either single CDs, deluxe CD sets and yes -- on vinyl, according to Billboard.
All three remastered albums will include new remixes of some classic tunes and previously unreleased material.
Meanwhile, the band continues to work on a new album with producers Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois.
"I like being in the room with U2 and Eno. We are a nice assembly, a nice congregation," Lanois says on U2's official website. "It never gets too quiet in the U2 studio."

Mike,
It was The Edge inducting the Clash into the Roack and Roll Hall of Fame. He gave a really long winded speech and Brian Johnson wanted him to move along with it.

There are some albums that I just don't want the 'Deluxe Version" of. I think they were just right in the original release. I'll stick with my old U2 CDs.

I agree with you Big Tex except I really like Achtung Baby as well. Just can't get into the newer material. "Newer" as in last 10 years.
I'll probably pick up all of these releases.
I regret not getting the deluxe release of Joshua Tree.

I guess they need the money for more sunglasses? I like their early stuff so I'll probably buy War and maybe October, but I gave up on U2 after Rattle and Hum. I wouldn't know Adam Clayton if he was standing on my big toe.
