Way past Time for a reunion!
Look who's getting back together for the first time in 20 years: Ladies and gentlemen ... please welcome ... The Time!
The original 80s lineup -- Morris Day, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Jesse Johnson, Jerome Benton, Jelly Bean Johnson and Monte Moir-- will play two short runs at The Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, according to Pollstar.com.
The Time is taking over the spot at the Flamingo that opened up when Toni Braxton ended her two-year gig early. Shows run from June 24 through July 5 and July 29 through 2.
According to Pollstar, the reunion was inspired by the band's surprise reunion on stage during this year's Grammy Awards.
GREAT TIMING: The Time's second run of shows overlaps with the Regeneration Tour stop in Vegas, which is a designated Stuck in the 80s get-together. As if you needed another reason to come party with us!

I was just listening to Shake yesterday.
I didn't even realize they weren't together anymore.

So what do I do?
(a) Scrape together the money to fly 5,000 miles to see the best band ever in a one-off opportunity?
or
(b) Scrape together the money to fly 5,000 miles to see the best band ever in a one-off opportunity only to have them annonce some London shows the following week?

That news is cooler than Santa Clause, baby.

And I said, yes I said,
Does anybody really know what Time it is,
Does anybody really care, about Time.
If so I cant imagine why...

I got my fill thanks to Jay and Silent Bob. The token value eventually wore off.

PS: The original lineup actually reunited previously in 1990 for the album "Pandemonium" and the film "Graffiti Bridge".

Don't get me wrong, I love The Time (I'm one of those Prince freaks; we're required by law to be devoted to all his satellite artists, although there is...thankfully...an unwritten exemption that applies to the music of Carmen Electra) and I would absolutely go see them perform if I had the chance. I'm just tired of those two songs. Nobody ever gets to hear "Cool" or "Wild and Loose" or "777-9311" or even "Jerk Out".

I'm sooooooooo pissed right now. Seeing Morris Day and the Time on the Grammy's was the highlight of my year. Now, my dreams are further dashed with this news. Damn it! I hate being a poor single momma!! This news breaks my heart far more than not seeing The Rengeneration Tour. OY!

I'm not feeling a lot of love for this news. "Jerome!"

Gee, I wonder if they'll do "Jungle Love" and "The Bird"?

I'm glad they got a gig. I was tired of seeing Morris Day on car commercials in Atlanta.
"It's TIME to head to Atlanta Toyota..."

Cannot believe the timing (no pun intended) on this one.
Oh-wee-oh-wee-oh!!
That is all.
