Evil has come to this little podcast
Two weeks with no new Stuck in the '80s podcast? Is that a trick or a treat? (Or simply a very, very bad cliche brought on by the fact that I haven't slept in days.) Fact is, we're all still recovering from the mammoth undertaking of recording an entire audio commentary to the 1978 movie Halloween.
I'm assembling the pieces of it today and should have it online by the afternoon. But in the meantime, our own Jeff in Cuba came through with one of his masterpiece commentaries on the horror genre.
This particular episode is awfully light on the abuse toward myself and co-host Sean Daly. When I throw words around like "sincere" and "earnest," you know I'm not talking about your normal podcast fare.
Click here to download Jeff's commentary. And then run off to your video store now and pick up Halloween on DVD. You'll need to have it to watch along as you listen to this week's podcast.

Ha, that's funny! If I had any kids, I would want them to be just like Jeff. And Jeff, I'd adopt you, but I've already adopted THE PLAIN WHITE T's...all the way from Villa Park, Illinois, Ladies & Gentlemen. They've got a ~HOT~ new LOVE SONG that's burning it's way up the charts to # 1 !
It's driving all the little girls wild!
Just the other day they caused a near-riot in Miami with a crush of fans, & got some of their clothes torn off! They were ECSTATIC! That's Rock & Roll! That's what all baby bands strive for.

The best kind of Horror movies are the ones that didn't have to rely on all the "Blood and Guts" The ones I liked were the ones that had what I like to call "The Boo Factor" The suspenseful music, the way the camera angles in a tense situation. That's why Halloween is my top favorite Horror movie of all time. It had all that and more

Ew DA, that silver ball and the tall man freaked me out too (I'm talking about Phantasm people!). I always thought The Omen was the scariest of them all.

Like most things, this will either be very good, or it will be very bad. I look forward to this.
Hey, Jeff, i love ya, I'd take a bullet for ya, but damn, your obsequiousness is showing!
Halloween may get all the accolades, but for my money the scariest movie of that era was Phantasm. now that was a freak out.
