We wanna be with him night and day

Frampton300 Yes, yes, I've heard it all week. Peter Frampton is not Stuck in the '80s. If you ask him, he's not stuck in the '70s either. But he's still a guitar god that we all listened to during our golden decade, right? ("And we're going to destroy Lincoln next week, all RIGHT?!??")

Ya know, I'm tired of being a Spirit Bunny for the '70s revival here. ("It bugs the heck out of Dina and me!") But here's a link to my epic interview with Frampton anyway.

And I double-dog dare you to try to get Baby I Love Your Way outta your head after hearing the show.

Great job with the interview, Steve. I really REALLY was into Frampton back in the '70s including his work in Humble Pie and Frampton's Camel. Wasn't there a line in "Wayne's World" about every kid who moved to suburbia being "issued" a copy of "Frampton Comes Alive"?

His insights about "Almost Famous" were great, too. Since I'm a bit older than you, I could really relate to what he (and the movie) was saying about the changing of the music business in that time period. I couldn't believe how accurately Crowe captured the "turn" in the music business during that period. It was SO true and SO dead-on on SO many levels. In 1973, I was buying more music and going to more concerts than any period of my life either before or since. Thanks for bringing back so many good memories....or at least they were good until disco came along....but that's another podcast!

Always loved the last 3 minutes of "Do You Feel Like We Do". He just JAMS.

Thanks, Jo. I have a fun time with these. It's almost less pressure doing a Peter Frampton or a Meat Loaf than someone like Huey Lewis or Phil Oakey.

Though I seriously can't get Frampton's songs out of my head now.

jo

Wonderful interview! Spearsy, I love your way with questions. Peter, like Meatloaf & Andy Taylor were all very interesting & fun to listen to.

Marissa

MIGUEL!! You and I have the same brain. Well, at least the same thought. When I saw the post I was going to mention that very same quote!

Bassnote

Now you've done it! I looking through all my burned CDs to find the Frampton tunes. You didn't talk about the fact that he got injured during the filming of "Sgt. Pepper" and that kept him away from music for quite a while.

Angie

At least you put a good song into my head!

Bassnote

Frampton was great. I would so love to hang out with this guy. "I'm either great, or I'm s###," what a fantastic quote!

Miguel

When i hear the name Peter Frampton, i always remember "High Fidelity" and the quote: "Is that Peter f...ing Frampton?"
