Live chat: A drink for all my friends!
Ah yes, a Sunday night and things just feel right for a chat. There's a Rocky marathon on TV (Rocky 3 starts promptly at 8) on AMC. Or you can watch The Wedding Singer on VH1. Or you can be lame like me and just listen to old podcasts while you chat.
So here's how it works: We just use the blog for our chat. Just read the comments for the ongoing dialog. And write a comment when you're ready to jump in. Just keep refreshing your page to read the latest conversation. I'll be here, sitting in the Spears Lair, glass of fermented beverage firmly in hand.
I'm open to any topics of conversation, but I really want future podcast ideas -- especially ones for the holiday season. So welcome and enjoy. I'll be here 'til I run out of ice cubes.

E-mail Steve Spears:

Hi everyone - sorry for my late contribution. I think an excellent podcast topic would be the 1984 classic Teachers. It contains some of the best acting in an 80s movie, and some amazing actors, including Nick Nolte, Judd Hirsch, Laura Dern, Crisping Glover and 80s icon Raplh Macchio. In addition, some of the problems that it was touching on have become the reality of modern North American schools since.
Anyways, that is my 2 cents.

Goodnight folks I'm gone too.

I guess I'll pack it in as well.
Gotta run a 5K with the young guns in about 6 and a half hours.
Be good while I'm gone.

Good Night already? I'm just getting here. Darn, I guess I missed it.

Jeff, to make things better in the AFC West, the Chargers just wrapped their lips around the exhaust pipe and inhaled deeply. I'm laughing pretty hard right now considering I said that hiring Norv Turner was a mistake.

I know those beaches in Malaga Jeff. But the Algarve ones are much better.
Sparky i joined Steve`s blog by accident.I love the 80s and on imdb they had a link to a Say Anything podcast.I enjoyed it and continued listening to it.We have good blogs here too.

Later Bass.
Posted by: sparky | November 23, 2008 at 11:17 PM
'Note,
I gotta admit, one of the things I'll probably miss the most when I leave GTMO is my radio show. The engineering I can pick up wherever I go, but 'on air" opportunities may not be so easy to find.
Although in the brave new world of podcasting, everyone can be on the air.
Maybe I'll hang out my own shingle.

Jeff,
LOL!
You have to let me gloat since that was my Super Bowl. The AFC West is a trainwreck considering that the Raiders are still mathematically in it.

Sparks,
I was waiting for the inevitable Oakland/Denver comment.
In the words of French mathmatician and philosopher Rene Descartes: "Bite me."

G'nite Angela.
Posted by: sparky | November 23, 2008 at 11:13 PM
