Don't make me watch these films ever again!
It's been a long week at Stuck in the '80s land. Loooong week. First I had to paint Vegas Girlfriend's toenails, buy and deliver the weekly rations of Diet Coke for co-host Stephanie Hayes and then -- finally -- was allowed to record a new podcast. The subject ... chick flicks, like Beaches, Dirty Dancing and 9 to 5.
Yeah. Long week.
But the good news is that we finally have a new show for you. It's our ranking of the Top 10 Chick Flicks of the '80s. Rest easy, guys. I made sure to make it as palatable as possible for the crotch-scratching segment of the SIT80s demographics. The gaffes, the sexual innuendo, the drooling. All still there. And that's just from Vegas Girlfriend.

I`m listening to the show now.I`m i the only one who doesn`t hate Winona Ryder? I had a crush on her growing up.

A low blow against the late Gene Siskel. Poor taste.

Congrats to Graham Parker (not THAT Graham Parker) for solving his Rubik's Cube after 26 years.

Hey! I got mentioned as a wiener in the MMM! I love the movie SOB. The whole last part of the movie where William Holden, Robert Preston and Robert Webber are hauling around Richard Mulligan's dead body is Hilarious. I completely disregard the nude scene with Julie Andrews. Richard Mulligan was comedy gold in this movie.

Good job Chad - it was indeed The Turning Point

By the way, I'm another person who hasn't seen "Dirty Dancing". Shame on me. But I've seen "Dirty Dancing 2" (or was it 3?), didn't like it.

I was so afraid you'll forget "Desperately Seeking Susan" and now I'm so happy it's on the list! One of my 80s favourites. I have "Into The Groove" on vinyl and I often listen to it in the morning when I need some energy and good mood. Great movie and great music. Maddy is gorgeous on it.
The movie with Michael Baryshnikov is "White Nights" (1985). I absolutely love it! Baryshnikov is one of the most handsome men in the world (to my taste).
Great podcast, thank you!
Cheers from Russia,
Natalie

"Toe Pick" love that line from The Cutting Edge, I am not ashamed to admit that I love that movie
Another enjoyable podcast, agree with the list. I can't stand a few of the movies on the list but agree that they are all "Chick Flicks".
Great call on NOT including any John Hughes movies because they are truly in a class by themselves

Dirty Dancing is on stage in London, not sure if it's made it to Broadway yet.

Good one, Denver Matt!
BTW, sorry this show is so long. Top 10 lists are hard to squeeze in under an hour.

I think the opposite of a sausage hang is a 'clambake'.

You're my hero Steve Spears. Kudos to another great one.
