Get ready for 'Rock of Ages - The Musical'
Have you heard of Rock of Ages -- The Musical? Stuck in the '80s fan Brian Munroe sends out this interesting news from New York:
Steve and Sean, I listened to the worst of ’82 podcast today. Aside from the hot dog issues, it was another excellent episode. I’m a stagehand on Broadway and I want to let you and the 80’s Nation know about the new show I’m working on.
I’m writing to you from backstage at Rock of Ages, an '80s love story told through the music of REO Speedwagon, Styx, Poison, Journey, Asia, Whitesnake and many more. Right now the Saturday night crowd is waving lighters and singing along with the cast to Every Rose Has Its Thorn. There’s a kick-ass band, including players from Night Ranger, a really fun story and booze served seat-side. For the American Idol fan in Sean, the male lead is Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis. (Click hereto check out videos from the show on YouTube.)

Keep up the great work on the podcast and keep on rocking! Forever stuck in the '80s

I saw this when it played Off-Broadway and this show truly rocks! I'll be back for the Broadway version in April.

This is the hottest show on Broadway right now, hands down! I've seen it more times that I care to admit and have never enjoyed anything more. The 80's music is used to tell this story in such a unique and powerful way. And for anyone who doubted if Constantine Maroulis was a "real" rocker when he was on American Idol... well this will answer the question with a resounding YES! You will laugh your butt off and you might even feel a tender tug at your heart, and you will sing, you will dance, you will clap till your palms hurt. This show ROCKS the packed audiences every single night!
