Iron Maiden's 'Flight 666' arrives on DVD
Run to the hills, headbangers: A new film documentary on Iron Maiden hits DVDs today. With the catchy title Iron Maiden: Flight 666, the flick follows the band on the first leg of its 2008 "Somewhere Back in Time" tour.
Filmmakers boast that they had total access to the band, even in the cockpit of the custom jetliner the band infamously uses on its tours. Flight 666 also was shot in high definition and surround sound.
Metalinjection.com is giving away some free copies of the DVD. Click here for details.

I saw that movie in Sydney about 4 weeks ago and I went to that concert back in early '08. What an excellent band that sold out two night and the atmosphere was excellent! Last time i saw them was back in the states when they were touring for powerslave and somewhere in time(84-86 i think. Give them they respect they deserve. Was filmed by the same guys that did headbangers journey (sam dunn and another guy)

Wow. A Maiden posting on SIT80s? I have to say, I'm surprised, Spears. Thanks for not ignoring us head bangers. I watched this the other day. I was amazed at how amped the kids in India were to see Iron Maiden live. Rumor had it they sold more t-shirts than albums in the 80s. Good stuff.

I was a big fan of buying albums only for the covers back in the '80s. Hence I had albums by Iron Maiden and Molly Hatchet.

"Take them to the Iron Maiden. Excellent! Off with their heads! Bogus!" I was never a huge Iron Maiden fan, but they had the coolest album covers and t-shirts of any band back in the 80's.
