Brooke Shields is back! Just as we predicted

Brooke_shields Just hours after Stuck in the '80s predicted a big career boost for her after Michael Jackson's memorial service, Brooke Shields is making good on our prognostication.

Shields just inked a deal for her first movie in 10 YEARS. Yes, it's been a decade since her last mainstream screen appearance (1999's Black and White.)

Our beloved star of Blue Lagoon and Endless Love will co-star in a Furry Vengeance, The Hollywood Reporter says. The live-action family comedy will also star Brendan Fraser, Dick Van Dyke, Ken Jeong and Samantha Bee, THR says.

Mock if you must all the celebrity posing at Tuesday's memorial service at the Staples Center, but Shields had tears a-flowing during her brief time at the podium. It was the first real human moment of the day -- maybe the only depending on what you make of Paris Jackson's speech at the end -- and it was bound to remind us all of what we've been missing for 10 years.

TOP 5 BROOKE SHIELDS LINES FROM BLUE LAGOON:

5. "I've seen you playing with it, and I'll tell your father ... IF he ever gets here."

4. "When it stops hurting, we'll do it."

3. "It doesn't scare them off unless I can spear them! "

2. "You're the best at everything, Richard! Now get off!"

1. "You're always staring at my buppies."

I was touched by her heartfelt tribute to MJ. You scientologist are just miffed that she challenged your sicko beliefs. She is a very intelligent woman who dosen't need your approval to validate her.

Paul

OMG,

Even the untalented has beens are going to jump on the band wagon.

What a shame that OJ is in jail, he could have stood with the rest of these phony A--Holes.

Sad, Sad, Sad.

Max

It's Pam!

And she is so tan!

grim reaper

I agree she is sort of weird in a Michael Jackson kind of way.

Betty

Not only is she a brilliant and beautiful actress, she also holds a degree from Princeton University. I wish her every success in her comeback.

Shallow Hal

Caught her guesting on Two and a Half Men... she looked like a guy in drag. She gets more manly with age.

Angie in Romeoville

When she was trying to get pregnant thats all we heard about from her ,then during, then after nothing but waaa waaa waaa. She's a typical Hollywood media seeking nutjob. C- actor at best.

beth

I worked with Brooke on a movie back in 98 in SF. She was very nice, sweet and professional the entire shoot. I'll never forget her kindness to me as I was just a PA on the set taking care of her needs. Also, I feel she was one of only the few people at the memorial who seemed genuine. I believe she was MJ's true friend, not someone looking for a benefit.

DerekT

She is alright. Both looking and as an actress. Nothing really special, although I think she is more attractive now.

Blake Britton

I love her work.

roxy

I remember her when she was modeling for Calvin Klein.. time flies!

80sfan

I never understood her appeal in the 80s but I do think she has gotten more attractive as she gets older.

I've liked her tv work more so than the handful of movies she has done.

Spears

Her day is still coming. I have foreseen it. Or it could be the hamburger I had for lunch just messing with me.

Hay

Don- I COMPLETELY agree!! She's nothing too special... She's not even that great of an actress.

don in tulsa

you know, i never have really cared for her nor found her attractive. there's just something about her that's just weird. i can't place my finger on it but......it is what it is. guess i'm in the minority here.
