SEFFNER — Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies are searching for the driver who fatally struck a 46-year-old woman Friday night.

Linda Kay Fisher was walking near the roadways’s edge by her home on Black Dairy Road when she was hit by a vehicle around 11:30 p.m., deputies said.

Her body was found in a ditch Saturday morning. The vehicle left behind large red-orange paint chips. Investigators shared photos of the paint chips Saturday in hopes it could lead to identifying the driver.

Anyone with information related to the investigation can reach the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200.
