Uhurus to oppose stadium plan

We've been waiting and waiting for this. Now, finally, it's here.

The Uhurus are planning to denounce the Rays' waterfront stadium plans during a June 22 press conference.

Welcome to the party, Uhurus. (Hat tip to my colleague Cristina Silva for passing along the info

Now that's a surprise.... (eyes roll)

They vote against anything that makes any minuscule change in this city, unless it directly involves them; they'd vote against themselves if it meant bettering their "cause".

"denounce" the plans??? What is it a terrorist attack??? I guess if the Uhurus are against it, we better check to see what the Scientologists think as well just to be safe. While we're at it, let's put a call in to Pennsylvania and see how the Quakers are taking in all of this.

Did anyone think Uhurus were planning on supporting this in the first place? I sure didn't see that happening. They have a pretty narrow agenda (which is another word for mind). Wake me up when Rick or Charlie decided to man up tell us where they truly stand.

I'll be interested to see WHY they say they are denouncing these proposals.

Luckily 99.08% of the city denounces the Uhurus - so no one cares.

However, if POWW opts to give this seperatist, racist organization their support, I know a few people who will disassociate themselves from POWW.

Tread lightly POWW, you're getting into deep waters here.

For all of you Brainiac, can you say, "gentrify?"

"For all of you Brainiac, can you say, "gentrify"?"

Uh . . . for all we Brainiac I say what?

O. Northeast:

POWW was invited to go to the Uhurus next meeting.

POWW said they would attend only if the Rays and Fans groups were allowed to attend as well.

The POWW person was simply reporting what they heard.

POWW is not affiliated with the Uhurus.

O. Northeast: Quit making up lies.

UHURUS supporting POWW,

I love it, you can riot together. Even POWW advertising that report is absurd. Why would you ever let yourself be the first to report that.

Just like the riots you would rather destroy the city than listen to reality. The man is keeping POWW and UHURUS down right.

Power to the people

POWWeeeeeeeer to the UHURUS

Lets see.... Rays supported by almost every major business owner in St. Pete.

POWW supported by UHURUS

Who do you think what's the best for economic development here.

POWW and Uhurus are both anti establishment so it makes sense that they are on the same side of the issue. Just disperse everyones income equally and give us one acre to live on. That would make them happy.

They serve Good breakfast though.

I doubt very much if the Uhurus or Steve Lange will sway many voters.

If POWW participates in an event sponsored by the Uhurus - they give credence to their message of hate. I agree with the others, POWW should stay clear of this organization.

Mr. Lange - no self-respecting organization in the city should be seen on stage with the Uhurus. Some reports mention POWW speaking at the event, these may be rumours, but such an action would be deterimental to POWWs standing. As they say, you lay down with dogs you get fleas.

we at Hamas fully support POWW because we like their name...

...we also are big Will Farrell fans

where's the cowbell?

I'm ringing her dude. I'm ringing her.

Gerald- My dogs have Advantage. They don't have fleas. You should try it for yours. And you should lay your dog.

sorry. Add (with).
