FBI seeks stadium-related emails

But not in St. Petersburg.

FORT MYERS (AP) — The FBI is seeking e-mails from four government employees in southwest Florida that appear to pertain to the development of the Boston Red Sox's new spring training facility.

The FBI has asked Lee County to provide e-mails containing more than two-dozen search terms. Some of those are names associated with the final four sites under consideration for the facility.

The Red Sox agreed to keep their spring training home in Fort Myers — the Lee County seat — for another 30 years in December. Part of the deal includes development of a new complex that would open in 2012.

The county is set to select the site of the new facility next week.

An FBI spokesman confirmed the request but would not comment on why agents are seeking the e-mails.

Hi Stu. Have you read the Times Blog recently? I have been working overtime in countering the idiots and 'antis' on the blog. My 'twin development' scenario seemed to hit a chord with the pro-forces. I know you guys have the mayor and his cadre pretty well sold on the Waterfront Stadium. I bet that cost you a pretty penny.

The reason I'm writing you is to let you know the check you sent me #0001 for $562 bounced for my blogging service. It is probably an oversight by your accounting department. Please send me the money I need it bad.

Sincerely,
Pop Fly RRicky K

Keith

Hey get-smart: nobody reads the SPT blogs on this subject any more because it's always the same 3 or 4 morons like you talking to each other and shouting down anyone with an opposing viewpoint. It's time for you to put your tinfoil hat away and get a life.

Thomas

Actually, I think get-smart's satirical is pretty amusing. Clearly he is not a moron. Hey may wear a tinfoil hat, but that's just fashion baby!

By the way Keith, do you find any irony in the fact that you state "nobody reads the blogs" yet you appear on here frequently. Might you be trying to empower your position by artificially inflating the numbers here? I mean clearly "somebody" is reading. And that "somebody" is you.

Alright, I gotta go shout down some folks over at the Trox blog who have an opposing viewpoint now. Later, T

Thomas

Almost forgot. I hope the search terms the FBI are using include:

"Ortiz" and "steroids"

Pelican Pete

Perhaps the FBI search terms should include:

Kalt, Assessed Value (AV) & Tax Exempt Financing.

Bid rigging?

While the FBI is at it, they could take a look at City of St. Pete reords-the RFP, publications reporting on the "Bid winner" before the bid deadline, correspondence and emails from the mayor and his staff to the Rays and developer Hines. Lots to be reviewed for potential irregularities based on publication in Feb 08 Building Design and Construction.

Outraqe burns hot, and burns out quick. Greed is the grift that keeps on grabbing.

Any "hope" that this will ever "change?"
