Dicks' campaign one to watch, says DCCC
Democrat John Dicks, one of three Democrats vying to challenge incumbent U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Palm Harbor, in the District 9 Congressional race, boasted Wednesday his campaign has been named one of the top 20 emerging races in the country by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Dicks, former mayor of Plant City, face Anita dePalma and Bill Mitchell in the Democratic primary in August.

Gus Bilirakis is a joke!
The Congress.org website assigned him a Power Ranking of 438 in the U.S. House (there are only 435 voting members) -- BEHIND THE NON-VOTING DELEGATES from DC, American Samoa, Guam and Puerto Rico.
Glad to hear the Democratic Cong. Campaign Committee recognizes that John Dicks is a winner and the candidate that all 9th CD Democrats ought be supporting. I know I am!

I support John Dicks - this man has a history of bridging the parties and getting things done.
And the fact he's an exScoutMaster and father of two Eagle Scouts - proof positive of being able to get a job done.
John's dedication to the people of Plant City, and his keen understanding of the community and its citizens - makes him No. 1 in my book!
Gus who? He's worse than having a rep from Guam! At least those folks show up for Committee meetings.

Does Dicks the Democratic Scoutmaster want to allow gays in Scouting?
