Rouson backs Rice in Pinellas commission race

State Rep. Darryl Rouson has endorsed Darden Rice's campaign for the at large District 3 County Commission seat held by Bob Stewart, who is stepping down. Rice faces former St. Pete City Council member Rene Flowers in the Democratic primary. The winner will face School Board member Nancy Bostock, a Republican.

"I have known Darden's work for the past eight years, and I have been impressed with her dedication and commitment to public service," Rouson said in a statement. "Not only has she been strong on environmental concerns, she has been a warrior for the rights of all citizens. I respect Darden, and I give her my full and heartfelt endorsement."

The simple fact is that if we want positive change in this county, it is in our interest, irrespective of party affiliation, to elect Darden Rice to the Pinellas County Commission. She will serve her constituents, welcoming their input; and she will serve honestly....without reckless attachment to the self-serving "deep pockets" that do not hear the real wishes and needs of our county. She will be a welcome and refreshing change. And, yes, I am a relative. So what?!

She does not have the educational backround to serve as a County Commissioner, and privately she is still promoting her lesbian agenda. She does not like men and I am afraid that she will favor lesbians over men if elected. It's all bad folks if you vote for her.
