Wallace says it ain’t so

State Rep. Kevin Ambler, R-Lutz, has survived a couple of bruising elections battles to win and hold his District 47 seat representing northwestern Hillsborough County. So it may come as little surprise that there is speculation he could yet face a challenge as he seeks a final term.

Rob_wallace_2 One name getting tossed about as a potential foe is particularly intriguing: Rob Wallace, an electrical engineer and Republican who held the seat before Ambler.

But Wallace quickly deflated the notion last week

“I haven’t had any plans to come back,” Wallace said Friday.  “Right now my main goal in life is, I have four kids and I’m trying to get them all through college. I’m a political observer right now.”
