Max Linn launches "Must Change Congress" fundraising site

Max Linn's new fundraising Web site, titled "Must Change Congress," ties his effort to Sen. Barack Obama's run for the presidency.

The site argues that people need to help folks like Max Linn get elected so that Republican congressmen (read: U.S. Rep. Bill Young) don't stand in Obama's way. The site features a picture of Linn with Obama, who is holding Linn's self-published book "2008: America's Turning Point," news about Obama, and quotes from him. One page of the site shows Republican congressmen and women and links to their opponents.

The site defines itself thus: "Must Change Congress.org and the Million Person March is a political online movement/march of people contributing financially to help support Democratic candidates that are running against destructive, road blocking key Republicans. These Republican representatives have pledged to stop Barack Obama’s policies of change and must be voted out."

Click on donate and read the fine print to learn that your money's going to Max Linn for Congress.

Should we expect another letter from Kriseman on this… written on our time and with our dime, with another underhanded endorsement from one hack to another?

Is it legal for a State Rep to use tax dollars for political purposes?

That letter was written on official State of Florida stationery which was paid for by the taxpayers.

Also, were tax dollars used to pay for the postage as well?

Sure seems like a questionable, and possibly illegal, use of tax dollars for political purposes.

Yes it is legal and no it wasn't used for political purposes. They did not need to be there.

Whether you like Max Linn or not you should all revisit the site and listen to the message. The message is that his country is in crisis. A crisis created by years of bad leadership and slef serving corporate greed. The Must Change Congress message is that it is time to change Congress and it's time to get elected officials in Congress that support Barack Obama and his policies. Without a change in Congress the next President will not be able to make a change in America. Now is the time that we stand up for every candidate that is trying to vote an incumbent out. His opponent Bill Young has been in office for more than 45 years and has helped lead America into this crisis. Now is the time for change... Now is the time to make a difference. Now is the time to change Congress. That is unless you are happy with this country and where it stands today... addicted to oil, on the verge of a fiancial collapse and sliding from the most powerful country in the world and the center of the financial universe to a country owned by outside investors with a Congress owned by corporate greed. Max Linn is a breath of fresh air. He doesn't need the money... he doesn't need a job... he wants to make a difference for the future of America.

Excellent site. Don't let the posters here from the other campaigns detract from your message.

I noticed, that their are NO max linn yard signs in actual yards, but located in vacant lots and city right of ways, (Which, under city code is ILLEGAL!!!!. I noticed his margin is about 4 to 1 for this violation of St. Petersburg code. What kind of change is this???
