Pinellas Dems and Jefferson-Jackson gala?

So the Pinellas County Democratic Party is sending out invites for a Jefferson-Jackson Day Victory Gala 2008 this Saturday at the Hilton Carillon in St. Petersburg. U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, State Sen. Dave Aronberg and state party chair Karen Thurman are expected.

Now, Bay Buzz can't confirm this, but we're told the famously fractious Pinellas Democratic Party hasn't been able to actually pull out a full-on Jefferson-Jackson Day celebration in years. So this would be a big deal for the local party.

The reception starts at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m. And then there's a party at Luna Lounge.

There are even more elected officials than the Buzz lists. State Senator Charlie Justice will be there, State House Representatives Janet Long, Bill Heller, Rick Kriseman, and more!

There is very little time left to get a ticket. Call the Pinellas Democratic Party HQ at 727-327-2796 if you want to go.

Ben, stop using the blog to promote yourself! Figures since you are so cheap you would do it another way. How much money have you raised for your debut in Sept? Wait until they hear you talk Bw-w-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

8:15. must be all Dem's ick!

Ya'll can use the blog to promote your own website all you want but all 3 of you are going to lose and lose big time.

Would be nice if they had real Dems. No more Republcrats! Maybe more people would attend.

Van Sant- We all can't be Republican lemmings.

We can all hope the "real" Republicans have fractured from the right wing zealots though. If so maybe the Repubs will start voting like real Repubs and recognize individual and Constitutional rights. Now THAT would put Democrats in office!

Rock on Pinellas Dems! The MAJORITY PARTY IN PINELLAS!

10:18 is your typical Ill-informed Delusional Indignant Opposition Troll… aka: Idiot!
