Wine, cheese and six-shooters for Bunting?
Pasco County GOP Chairman Bill Bunting has a mutiny to fight against disaffected Republicans who say he wrongly tried to kick them off the ballot, and a state committeeman race to pursue. But the leader of the state GOP's Second Amendment wing still has friends in the local gun-rights club.
Bay Buzz has learned the Second Amendment Club leaders are throwing a wine and cheese fund-raiser for Bunting at Fairhave Farms next Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., according to an email by club leader John DiGaetano making the rounds today. No cost to attend, so mount up!
David DeCamp/Times staff writer

What does the Second Amendment Club have to do with electing someone for office anyway? This is sinking really low. Bunting can't get support from the GOP so he gets this measly club to alert the media!
Hey I got an idea Bunting, why don't you just go back to the Democrats, maybe they can raise a dollar or two.
Or how about the Friends of Nazis Club?
Posted by: Pasco Girl | July 22, 2008 at 07:01 PM
That's all he needs is more wine, isn't his judgment clouded enough already? The Griffin's should be ashamed of themselves for hosting this party for an absolutely evil man. Discernment is needed.
Posted by: | July 22, 2008 at 08:11 PM
That's right Bunting and Associates, he needs more wine? Anyone who hosts a party or anything else for this Nazi really needs their judgement questioned. I think a reality check is in order here.
Posted by: | July 22, 2008 at 08:51 PM
I'm sure Bill Bunting has done alot of good for your gun club. And it's good to see that he has friends. Because he's going to need them now more than ever. But what you don't seem to understand is that the facts are irrefutable. YOUR FRIEND GOT CAUGHT TRYING TO RIG AN ELECTION!! It can't be stated any clearer.
IT'S NOT LIES OR INNUENDO. IT'S FACTUAL AND PROVABLE. HE PUT THINGS IN WRITING.
HE LEFT A PAPER TRAIL & LOADS OF WITNESSES.
The republicans of Pasco do not want this man to sully their reputations any
longer. Or do you believe it should be tolerated and covered up. Should we go on as though it didn't happen? Shame on you if you answered yes.
Posted by: Maria | July 22, 2008 at 10:23 PM
I'm going to support Bill because there is a silent action for a U-Boat!
NOT!!! Bill is more American than any of you left wing winners and he will win because the few dozon of you don't matter.
Bill foe SCM and or chairman.
Working member of GOP!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: | July 22, 2008 at 11:38 PM
11:38: Why don't you learn how to spell before you start adding your questionable opinion?
We're not stupid enough to think for a second that rigging an election is American. Go back to your Nazi U boat.
BTW: We are not the left and there's way more than a dozen of us!
Posted by: Pasco Girl | July 22, 2008 at 11:53 PM
WOW! "working member of GOP" what qualities do you demand from a SCM or chairman? INTEGRITY? HONESTY? FORTHRIGHTNESS? ETHICALNESS?
Obviously none of these matter to you.
You made a joke of why you're supporting Bill (something about a u-boat auction) but could you articulate an actual justification for still supporting him after everything that has been proven against him?
Posted by: lenore | July 23, 2008 at 01:47 AM
Bill Bunting sounds "defeated"! Pasco
County does not need this "Nazi"...Go
over to the Democrats, Bill...they need you.
Posted by: Mary J. | July 23, 2008 at 05:58 AM
I hear Bunting will not reveal his donors and is pocketing the donations instead of using them on his campaign. Any truth to this rumor?
Posted by: | July 23, 2008 at 04:47 PM
Probably because the felon is not smart enough to keep his own records. I don't think he learned much in Rikers Island Prison. What goes in his pockets, stays in his pockets.
Posted by: | July 23, 2008 at 09:00 PM
Nothing would surprise me about this guy. You either have a criminal mind or you don't. And he obviously does.
Is he really a convicted felon? He did time in Rikers?! Why is everyone so shocked at the tactics he takes to get what he wants.
Posted by: | July 23, 2008 at 09:19 PM
Yes he did time in Rikers, thought everyone knew by now.
Posted by: | July 23, 2008 at 09:24 PM
Here it is:
http://www.sptimes.com/2004/03/28/Pasco/GOP_s_power_couple.shtml
Bunting has had multiple arrests for criminal mischief, indecent exposure, burglary.
He spent five months at Rikers Island Penitentiary.
He has a life-sized tattoo of a .45-caliber pistol near his left shoulder blade.

Felons make great leaders:
1. They see what they want & they take it.
2. They're not afraid to step over the line. Societies boundries mean nothing
3. Tactics & methods that are taboo to normal citizens are acceptable.
4.They can keep order at meetings, through intimidation & bullying.
If your club is looking for results regardless of how they're achieved consider Bill Bunting to chair your club. He gets results (However he sees fit).

When is Buntings next campaign school? sounds like I can learn alot.
Democratic Candidate in waiting
Posted by: | July 24, 2008 at 07:31 AM
I understand Bill Bunting has money so why would anyone want to donate money to him. He is loaded.
And the Second Amendment Club is mostly Democrats. Just like Bill Bunting was when he first moved down here in 1989.
Sounds like club leader John DiGaetano,is Bill Bunting new Puppet man. Just pull those strings Bill, John will start jumping
Posted by: Stardust | July 24, 2008 at 09:48 AM
9:19 - We're not shocked by the tactics he uses, we're shocked that the state party (Jim Greer) and Governor Charlie Crist endorse his tactics and stand behind him. Apparently they don't realize or don't care that they will lose Pasco to Obama and that the grassroots workers are leaving in droves. If they held a private ballot in the REC and only the members were allowed to vote (unlike the way it currently runs) this man would be voted out. But the people are afraid to cross him because who needs the hassle, it's easier just to become uninvolved and let the Democrats win. Maybe if that happens the GOP will wake up and new honest leadership can be put in place of the corrupt leadership we have now from the top down.
Posted by: GOPChick | July 24, 2008 at 10:16 AM
John DiGaetano is a puppet but there are no strings, he's a sock puppet. If you look from behind you'll find Bill's formerly tatooed arm stuffed up his backside. Bill got a masters degree in sock puppetry at Rikers Island and if you look behind Bill you'll see Jim Greer's pudgy arm up to the elbow. This ain't your grandma's puppet show.
Posted by: Shari Lewis & Lambchop | July 24, 2008 at 12:02 PM
The Felon Puppet Master and the Sock Puppet. lol
You have to be part of their little click of idiots to be included in any of their happenings. If you have a brain then you might as well hit the road.
Posted by: Pasco Girl | July 24, 2008 at 01:56 PM
Isn't Jim Greer queer?
Is it true that he also has a criminal record? That would explain things.
Posted by: | July 24, 2008 at 05:55 PM
Will Bill's wife, Ann be mysteriously absent (again) from this money grabber?
Posted by: Republican | July 24, 2008 at 09:53 PM
If Ann had any dignity she would have already divorced him, but yes, we'll probably have another mysterious absence. They've supposedly been on vacation for two weeks but they're still in town. Just an excuse not to have to answer the phone and those pesky questions that have no real answers.
Posted by: | July 24, 2008 at 11:02 PM
Why is it that every time I see this guy he's drinking wine. I went in the Republican office in Hudson and they even have corkscrews in there, two of them. Does someone have a little drinking problem? Sounds like Bill and his followers should lay off the wine and sober up.
Posted by: | July 24, 2008 at 11:30 PM
Why yes he has a drinking problem, he never takes off those sun glasses. He doesn't want anyone seeing the bags under his eyes.He must use a lot of kiwi fruit?
Ann divorce Bill lol she would lose out on all of that so call money Bill has?
Posted by: Stardust | July 25, 2008 at 12:17 AM
I wonder if he'll attend his money grabber on Tuesday or if he'll still be on his phony vacation.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 12:23 AM
I saw him wearing his sunglasses indoors and outside at night lol.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 12:25 AM
Are the Buntings on their fake vacation together or separately?
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 12:44 AM
Lately club member and Chairman of the Republican Party and Candidate for State Committeeman Bill Bunting has been a topic of lies and innuendos by the St. Pete Times and the Tampa Tribune. Slanderous remarks have been aimed at Bill by a group of malcontents who's only goal is to seek power in Pasco County and the State of Florida. This group is lead by Senator Mike Fasano who has a personal grudge against Bill as well as others who Bill once considered friends, Bill has been a loyal friend and a hard worker who has raised the Republican Party from a minor party here in Pasco to a force throughout the state and now the vultures are circling in order to destroy this man.
We gun owners owe a lot to Bill, he is one of the founders of our club as well as a powerful spokesmen for gun rights. He was instrumental in expanding the Castle Doctrine and for your right to have your gun in your car while at work. I hope that all club members will stand up for Bill the way he has stood up for us.
We are planning a Wine and Cheese Fund Raise for Bill at Fairhaven Farms on Tuesday, July29th from 7pm to 9pm, there is no cost to attend this event so if you can make it please do.
Posted by: You're Invited by John DiGaetano | July 25, 2008 at 01:02 AM
To the Moron Sock Puppet John DiGaetano,
I'm sure that your Felon Puppet Master is pleased with your undying love and blind loyalty, how touching.
I'm also sure that Senator Fasano will not be pleased with your hateful and slanderous remarks. You have now made yourself another enemy by posting such a statement.
Are you speaking for the whole Second Amendment Club that you claim to represent? I can't imagine everyone in your club would agree. You may need to be replaced along with your Master Bunting.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 01:43 AM
What! No U-Boat!
1:43AM your the puppet! I am a member of the NRA, and the 2nd Amendment Club and Bill has worked hard and for years.
What have you done except to snipe out from the darkness. The few beings that surf under the surface on this blog are like a U-Boat, and you will sink like one, first in August when Bill is elected State Committeeman and then in the November Elections and again in the December Party Elections.
I get involved and live with it and just keep on complaining.
Second Amendment all the way!!!!!!!!
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 07:11 AM
7:11 - I am a life member of the NRA, a member of the 2nd Amendment Club, and an actual working volunteer. Bill has worked hard in the past but now it's all for his glory and to the detriment of others. He's lost all credibility especially with his endorsement of John McCain. I was at the meeting right before the primary and if Bill was going to stand strong for the 2nd Amendment he should have endorsed Huckabee, definitely not McCain who had the worst record on guns of all the candidates that were left. This club is supposed to be non-partisan we should not be involved in this political race.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 07:43 AM
This 2nd Amendment Club is supposed to be non-partisan we should not be involved in this political race. Bill Bunting being the Kingmaker has his puppet John DiGaetano, doing just that. You do know that is where Bill is getting all of his volunteers to work in his State Road 52 office? Poor Bill has run off all of his volunteers. If Obama takes Florida by a landslide, then you can blame it all on Bill & Ann Bunting.
Bill has worked hard in the past but now it's all for HIS GLORY and to the detriment of others. He's lost all credibility especially with his endorsement of John McCain. And here I thought he was for Fred Thompson??????????????????????
Wow someone who cannot make up his own mind, instead he has others making it up for him. Watch out Bill, Ann may be making a play for your job???? Since she does it already at the REC meetings?????
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 11:44 AM
7:11 what are you talking about no U-Boats? I don't care about U-boats.
I am also a member of the same organizations and more and have volunteered my time for many years, longer than you.
Defending the Felon Puppet Master makes you just another one of his ignorant puppet followers.
Second Amendment yes, Bunting and people like you, no.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 11:49 AM
That's right, the Second Amendment Club is supposed to be non-partisan, not political. Many of the members including myself have stopped attending those meetings because of that.
Evil Dictator Bunting feels entitled to run anything having to do with gun rights. Stupid John DiGaetano without a mind of his own, allows it to happen within the club and that is how it got to be political. Time to replace DiGaetano as well.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 11:59 AM
EVERYONE IN INVITED ON TUESDAY!
Did everyone see the invitation in the title story by David DeCamp? Did everyone see the second invitation on July 25 at 1:02 AM from John the Sock Puppet? Even DeCamp said to mount up!
Desparate times, desparate measures, right Sock Puppet?
Posted by: I'm the NRA and I Vote | July 26, 2008 at 12:31 AM
Wow this is an invitation for anybody to come to this party Second Amendment Club leaders are throwing a wine and cheese fund-raiser for Bill Bunting at Fairhaven Farms, SR 52 west of the Suncoast Parkway On Tuesday July 29th from 7 to 9 p.m., according to an email by club leader John DiGaetano making the rounds today.
No cost to attend, so mount up! This should be fun and exciting. Come one come all to this Free Wine & Cheese get together. Plus you can meet Bill Bunting. I am going to be there with bells on my toes.
Posted by: | July 26, 2008 at 09:51 AM
I want to know if Bunting is breaking election laws with his phone calls from the Republican HQ's that went out yesterday inviting people to this event. We on the REC did not endorse him for SCM and our funds should not be used to fund his race, along with our office space, and our phone lines. Chairman it is not your personal office to use as you see fit, it is funded by an organization, make your stupid phone calls from your own damn house.
Posted by: | July 26, 2008 at 05:19 PM
That's correct, Bunting is breaking election laws as well as using his Chairman status for personal gain.
I think it would be in order here to notify the Republican Party of Florida, along with the Supervisor of Elections in Pasco and Tallahassee.
The REC should bring this to the floor and make a motion at the next meeting to not only make this BS stop, but to make Bunting reimburse the REC for this misuse of funds.
NOTIFY THE PRESS!

Don't forget everyone, you're all invited Tuesday July 29!

Free wine and cheese, count me in!
I'm there!
Wow, get to see the Puppet Master Bunting in action? And the Sock Puppet?
Really?
Can't Wait to meet them!
Can anyone give me directions?
Posted by: | July 28, 2008 at 11:53 PM
Don't forget about the free wine and cheese tonight!
Remember all is invited, so see ya!
Posted by: | July 29, 2008 at 04:30 PM
So how was it? Did anyone go?
Posted by: | July 30, 2008 at 12:05 AM
Just as I thought no one went...
Posted by: | July 31, 2008 at 11:20 PM
People were there. If you really knew anyone you would already know what you're trying to find out.
Posted by: | July 31, 2008 at 11:33 PM
I don't know any puppets, so I guess in your world I don't know anyone...
Posted by: | August 02, 2008 at 09:43 PM
Well, who won? Bill, of course! So, all you snivelling little rodents, who are afraid to identify themselves, take that! Don't like the way the Pasco REC is run? Quit! Bill has taken the county from nothing to the most powerful county in Florida. There are plenty more ready to take you place. Go join the rest of whiny liyyle Democrats.
