Nicolette bashes tax hike now, didn't vote then

Pt_283031_ho_passchrad1 Mailing after mailing, Pasco County Commission candidate John Nicolette has slashed at Commissioner Ted Schrader's support for the Penny for Pasco, a one-cent sales tax increase voters approved in 2004. Asked if he voted for it last week, he said, "Oh no, I didn't." A mailing this week says he will "never support a tax increase" as Tuesday's Republican primary nears.

But Nicolette didn't hate it enough to actually vote against it -- county election records show he failed to vote in the March 2004 referendum with that year's presidential primary. He also Pt_291212_schr_candidates_2_8 missed other primaries in 2002 and 2004; Schrader missed none.

Nicolette's camp through its consultant has yet to respond. Schrader has:
"I guess he couldn’t send his spokesperson to go vote for him as he’s done with questions from the Times
Schrader said, calling the missed vote "unbelievable" given the attacks Nicolette has leveled.

And the hypocricy from Mr. Nicolette continues.

How do i get off this idiot Nicolette's mail list?

I voted a month ago, am a registered independent and live by myself yet i get something from him every day it seems. Does everyone get to vote in this election?

I guess the Iafrates and Co didnt tell him how to vote so he just decided to sit it out.

Jack--- you're losing enough races you should get off teh blog and go pay attention to them.

It must be nice for Schrader to have the liberal SP TIMES pining for him every day.

Actually, Bobby Sumner forgot to wake Johnny boy up and tell him how to vote.
God help us if the puppet boy is elected

Bunting Rules!
All Hail Bill Bunting!!!

God save my wallet! Anyone is better than tax and spend ted!

Nicolette might not have voted for it, but Schrader stumped for it. He voted to put it on the ballot and caused a half a billion dollar tax increase. That's the story. Yet again the St. Peterburg Times is trying to keep a liberal in office.

Great. No sales tax. I dont want new schools, 6 lane CR 54, new sheriff cruisers.

Hey Bobby- does Barbara have a new job?

This election was Nicolettes for the taking but whoever advises him royally screwed up

Nicolette is a shoo-in. He will win by a minimum 10 points. So long Ted. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on your exit.

Nicolette might win by 10 points in the sumner household. Thats it.

I guarantee you if Nicolette was winning he still wouldnt be attacking Ted. Besides calling Ted a Liberal he hasnt given people a reason to vote for him.

Who is Nicolette's consultant that is dodging the questions?

Latvalas, get off the blogs.

Since Nicolette doesnt bother voting i think i am going to sit this one out on tuesday or vote for schrader who i will have to hold my nose for. This race has been a disgrace

If not even his neighbors like him, who likes him besides his family?

The regular people whose votes count like Nicolette.
