Pinellas candidate forum coming up

The Council of North County Neighborhoods will hold its second candidate forum next Monday. Al Ruechel from Bay News 9 will moderate. Pinellas candidates for sheriff, property appraiser, County Commission and the state Legislature are to attend. The event will be at Crescent Oaks Country Club, which is on East Lake Road between Tarpon/Keystone Road and Trinity Boulevard. There's a meet and greet from 6:15 to 6:55 p.m. The forum is 7 to 9 p.m.

Bet you you can't define the term. By the way, go to WTAN talks. Scroll down the homepage to John Mitchell. Click and scroll down to the Sheriff Coats interview. Listen, and when you get to the part where he says the Randall Jones "will take law enforcement south." Since you seem to be a specialist in "racism" perhaps you can tell us what Sheriff Coats might have been inferring by that bit of language.

I can tell you-- when Jones first announced he was going to run for sheriff-he on 970 WFLA --when asked what was his platform said " I want to bring the Sheriff's Office back to the south" Hellooooo he's the one that said it-- the Sheriff was referring to Jones' comment-- not a lot of people heard it but.. but I bet it can be confirmed if someone cares.
