Political sign wars rachet up with reward offer

Charges and counter charges of damaging and swiping political signs hit every election, but Pasco County Republicans are taking it up a notch. After one Republican's home was vandalized over the weekend, the the county GOP announced today that it's offering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of anyone caught defacing signs for any Republican candidate.

"These cowardly acts are being committed at night," Pasco Republican Party Chairman Bill Bunting said.

The case that set him off happened in Port Richey. On Sunday morning, a man went to retrieve his newspaper and found "Obama b----" sprayed in black paint on a garage, according to a Pasco Sheriff's Office report. Repair cost: $20.

Bunting said other Republicans had signs damaged over the weekend (though it should be noted that Bay Buzz has heard similar complaints -- sans reward offer -- from Democrats).

Reality

The Young D’s and/or Young R’s groups, sponsored by their respective governing body and its less than scrupulous leadership, conduct the majority of this activity. It’s an initiation process if you will… a way of teaching them early how to lie, cheat, and steal in order to win at all cost within the American political system. In this can be found the very core of what has become a distasteful and corrupt two-Party political system.

If the media and law enforcement would simply set up a sting during a given season, catch some of these thieves (save the pc and call it what it is), publicize, charge, and convict the players (before the election) – such that it may cause someone to lose an election – this crap may actually stop.

The degenerate politicos and respective party hacks laugh it off as “just part of the game”; but it is not a game… it is theft and it is deplorable. It’s disgraceful and harms the very Democracy young American men and women sacrifice their lives to honor and protect.

We will not change if we do not take the necessary action to bring about change.

Great idea by the Pasco GOP!

Another option is to point webcams out your front window at your yard signs.

Webcams are cheap. Just ask your local campaign team techie to set up the rig at a few know hotspots, and watch the fur fly when these SOBs get busted on video.

"Released on bail" is not a good campaign slogan.

Alright guys.
Thank you both for your outrage, righteous outrage. It is high time that this behavior come to a halt. It is high time that more people report violations of private property and stealing.
When will America wake up and get off of its complacent/apathetic rear end and get in the game. Such behavior occurs because we allow it by our passive acceptance as though this is the norm. America is sleeping while the country is going into a slow burn. Enough is enough
Anyone reading this blurb. Pass the word.

They are damaging them in Pinellas also. Spray painting them in the front yard. But we do have the cameras out and will catch them!

As a frequent donor to the Pasco GOP myself I don't want my donations going to this. It happens every election, and it happens on both sides, get over it. How about donating some cash to my local candidates? Isn't that what I gave you the donations for in the first place? Is this even legal to give away party donations for a reward? Get some fat cat to pony up for this reward money and give my donations to actual Republicans who are running for office. Current records show that Corley has $3,803 on hand and Mariano has only $3,947 on hand, far below any of their Republican counterparts in the county. How about a little something for the effort Chairman? These guys need our help!

ABClex

It encompasses a range of health care practices evolved to maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness.
Contemporary medicine applies health science, biomedical research, and medical technology to diagnose and treat injury and disease, typically through medication, surgery, or some other form of therapy.
The word medicine is derived from the Latin ars medicina, meaning the art of healing.
Though medical technology and clinical expertise are pivotal to contemporary medicine, successful face-to-face relief of actual suffering continues to require the application of ordinary human feeling and compassion, known in English as bedside manner.
As science and technology developed, medicine became more reliant upon medications. Pharmacology developed from herbalism and many drugs are still derived from plants (atropine, ephedrine, warfarin, aspirin, digoxin, vinca alkaloids, taxol, hyoscine, etc). The first of these was arsphenamine / Salvarsan discovered by Paul Ehrlich in 1908 after he observed that bacteria took up toxic dyes that human cells did not. Vaccines were discovered by Edward Jenner and Louis Pasteur. The first major class of antibiotics was the sulfa drugs, derived by French chemists originally from azo dyes. This has become increasingly sophisticated; modern biotechnology allows drugs targeted towards specific physiological processes to be developed, sometimes designed for compatibility with the body to reduce side-effects. Genomics and knowledge of human genetics is having some influence on medicine, as the causative genes of most monogenic genetic disorders have now been identified, and the development of techniques in molecular biology and genetics are influencing medical technology, practice and decision-making.

Sahachiro Hata discovered the anti-syphilitic activity of this compound in 1908 in the laboratory of Paul Ehrlich, during a survey of hundreds of newly synthesized organic arsenical compounds. Ehrlich had theorized that by screening many compounds a drug could be discovered with anti-microbial activity. Ehrlich's team began their search for such a "magic bullet" among chemical derivatives of the dangerously toxic drug atoxyl. This was the first organized team effort to optimize the biological activity of a lead compound through systematic chemical modifications, the basis for nearly all modern pharmaceutical research.

Arsphenamine was marketed under the trade name Salvarsan in 1910. It was also called 606, because it was the 606th compound synthesized for testing Germany it was the practice to designate compounds by their development number. Another compound known commonly in Germany by its number is Parathion, which was the 605th compound to be developed in search for insecticide. It is commonly known as E605 (E stands for Entwicklungsnummer (German for "development number")]. Salvarsan was the first organic anti-syphillitic, and a great improvement over the inorganic mercury compounds that had been used previously. A more soluble (but slightly less effective) arsenical compound, Neosalvarsan, (neoarsphenamine), became available in 1912. These arsenical compounds came with considerable risk of side effects, and they were supplanted as treatments for syphilis in the 1940s by penicillin.
