Voting machine company warned Hillsborough of problems

TAMPA -- Premier Election Solutions, the company that provided Hillsborough with its voting system, warned Buddy Johnson's staff in early September that there might be problems processing data from early voting machines.

An e-mail from account manager Jay Bollenbacher starts: "As you know we are expecting a high volume of voter turn out in the November election." He recommended changing out the memory cards on machines at early voting sites after several days of use and once a few thousand ballots had been processed. "This action will distribute the ballots onto multiple memory cards and will prevent having to re-process all of your ballots should there an issue with a single device," he wrote.

Chuck Smith, a member of Johnson's technical team and listed as a recipient of the e-mail, said Wednesday that although each of the early voting sites had two machines, each machine used only one memory card. He thought the cards could handle 10,000 ballots or more.

On election day, large files from early voting machines couldn't be uploaded to the server that counts the ballots because the program shut down before the task could be finished. That forced elections officials today to refeed more than 80,000 ballots cast during the early voting period into dozens of scanners.

Good Lord, WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE NEED TO REALIZE THAT WE NO LONGER CONTROL THIS DEMOCRACY! American government has become a corporate appointment system. Wake the hell up!

SOE IT Guy!

Let me see if I can guess the outcome of all this hubbub… Ummm, all the Republican locals win… just like in Pinellas!

Well, then this is promising. If the current early voting percentages are sustained throughout the remainder of the count, Phyllis Busansky will over take Buddy Johnson to become Supervisor of Elections. Now THAT, proves there is a God.

Plus, Kevin Beckner cannot statistically lose at this point. He has more than a 20,000 vote advantage over Blair and a 2 to 1 advantage among the already tabulated early votes. Blair is DONE!!!!

J. Greer

Great; the hag and the f-g win. What a Country!

GAME OVER

Who's going to jail first?

I feel sorry for anybody who is full of such hatred.

Disgusting

J. Greer: You are a typical repuglican in that you can not judge someone on the content of their character and their ability to lead.

How disgusting of a human are you. Bet you go to Bell Shoals Baptist with the tone of self righteous indignation you use.

Case in point is the counting of ballots and ensuring our democracy works, which is the SOE's job. Has this been successfully carried out by Buddy? Heck no.

Another great example is Brian Blair's record: slashed public transportation, voted against domestic violence shelters, and used the county to clean up the lake he lives on and then turns around and tries to dismantle the EPC. He has only represented developers and not the citizens.

Instead of taking the lumps for having horrible people in positions of power, you result to smearing people. You are a bigot and pig.

Why do people have to be so nasty to each other. We are all humans and should be respectful to all maybe then we would have a better world for everyone.

But..but... I love you!

What a bunch of idiots in the SOE!!!
