State says Scott Wagman's house party invite not illegal

ST. PETERSBURG- The Florida Elections Commission has cleared mayoral hopeful Scott Wagman of any wrongdoing for a supporter's failure to put the proper political disclaimer on a house party invitation.

Mark S. Adams, 30, of St. Petersburg filed the complaint on the same day Bay Buzz wrote about the questionable invite to lawyer Lucas Fleming's house for a meet and greet with Wagman.  Fleming created the invite, using Wagman's campaign logo. The invite did not have a political disclaimer as required by state law.

"The complaint is legally insufficient because it appears that the invitation was created and paid for by someone other than Respondent's campaign," Charles A. Finkel, interim executive director of the elections commission, wrote this week.

Adams has 14 days to appeal. We have no clue what Adams does or if he is tied to anyone's campaign, so if you do, let us know.

Ha-Ha!

Ha-ha!

Scott's a great guy and will do good things for the people of St. Pete.

any takers?

$5 says Mark Adams has a connection to Schorsch. Schorsch was the one shopping this complaint around.

Tigers don't change their stripes

Christina,

Now, I'm not sure if there is a connection between Peter Schorsch and Mark Adams but a quick public records search shows that aparently they do have one thing in common!

And it does make sense that Peter wouldn't file a complaint with the Florida Elections Commission himself, since he still owes them $67,667.50 plus 11% annual interest, in unpaid fines and penalties.

However, like Jamie, I'm willing to take Peter's word for it, when he says that he has turned over a new leaf.

Aren't you?

TRUE BLUE

Mark, you're a fool and probably a crook like Peter. He used you and you fell for it. More sleeze from the Bennett campaign. Don't worry - it will end on Sept. 1 Say goodnight Jamie!!!

LMAO.. Nice work Christina! You are on your game.

Does anyone know if the Rays tickets rumor is true?

Pelican Pete

Dear Concerned Citizen,

What "rumor" have you heard?

The story that Jamie Bennett had his campaign manager Peter Schorsch distribute tickets to the City's luxury suite at the trop has been reported in the Times and is accurate.

is there another rumor?

Concerned resident

Ok.. Thanks. I have not seen the article. I thought it was just a rumor. That is the one I was talking about. The rumor implies that he used the city suite ( considered tax payer's money ) to encourage or persuade voters. Amazing to me how running mates use all these tactics to get ahead. I wonder what Jamie's response is to why he abused this benefit as an elected official and how can we expect him not to do it again if he were mayor.

Pelican Pete

Dear Concerned,

The post you are asking about is here on Bay Buzz and was posted by the Times Editor on April 29th.

Scroll down and have a look at Bennett's response.

Mark Adams is Peter Schorsch's best friend

Alright, I guess I will do the work for you all:

Just google Mark Adams and Peter Schorsch and you will get this link:
