Expected state Senate prez backs Latvala
Mike Haridopolos, expected to be the next Florida Senate president, has endorsed Republican Jack Latvala for the District 16 race in 2010. Latvala, a former state senator and the only GOP candidate to replace Sen. Charlie Justice, is trying to lock down Republican support early in the Pinellas-Hillsborough district. "He was the driving force to end the water wars in the Tampa Bay area, he was a champion for the environment, and he was a true leader in the area of education," Haridopolos, R-Melbourne, said in a Latvala news release. "I worked with Jack Latvala and saw firsthand how hard he worked for the people he represented and how effective an advocate he was on the issues he thought we were important to the people of Florida. He earned widespread respect from those in both parties with whom he came into contact. I look forward to serving with Jack Latvala in the Florida Senate.” David DeCamp, Times Staff Writer *

I still can’t believe that Nina (It’s all bout the kids… well, for 8-months at least) Hayden got duped into playing cover for Thurman’s seat trade. Hayden should also resign or be removed from the School Board immediately. She clearly ran for and won the seat under false pretenses.

How much money did Haridopolos get from Jay Odom and why did he vote to fund the $6 million hangar?
Are all the people who voted to fund the $6 hangar going to back Latvala?
Why wont Bill McCollum and the GOP give back the $1,000,000+ that they received from Jay Odom?
Support Ray Sansom - vote Jack Latvala!

It appears that the 1:33 blogger has earned his/her $1 per blog post for the day.... using the so-called 'evil capitalistic system' he may denounce to personally make a few bucks!

2:39 is right.
Just because Jay Odom has given Bill McCollum and the GOP over a million dollars doesn't mean that is why they voted to build him a $6,000,000 airplane hangar.
And there is no reason that Haridopolos, McCollum or Latvala should return any of those tainted campaign contributions.

ohhhh, that's $2! So who donated to Nina (It’s all bout the kids… well, for 8-months at least) Hayden for School Board... should she not return that monies based on her lie to them?

Seems to be a few Tallahassee bloggers (both D & Rs)who have no idea what is going on in Pinellas County.
No one here cares about Sen. Haridopolos but I am sure that will help Latvala raise money from lobbyists in Tallahassee.

3:13 is right, and nina isn't going to win this thing by blaming latvala for sansom's mistakes. when do we get to hear what she stands for? why is she running? what is she bringing to the table that rivals latvala's experience?

The whole purpose of this endorsement is not that the Tampa Bay voter would know who Haridopolos is. It is to clear the field for Latvala and open the purse strings for him even more. No sane Republican would run against a candidate when the incoming President is supporting him and he has had a 2 month head start with fundraising, picking up endorsements, etc.
