Local candidates feel fundraising pinch in tight economy

Candidates and consultants say the recession is cutting into their efforts to raise money for campaigns. If the trend continues, they say voters can expect to see fewer TV ads, yard signs and mailings, and more grass-roots campaigning. Read more about it here.

Impressed!

David Rivera has blown away the field!!! Almost $400,000, an amazing effort. I predict he will hit the million mark before the election.
He is the new Hasner.

Peaches

Now wouldn't it be refreshing to see representatives elected just because the people support them and not just because they have raised the most money? In this economy, how can we expect people to take money away from their families to go to a political candidate or campaign. I believe the general populace is tired of the politics of old where elections are bought. Let the people speak with their vote!

Just Sayin

Fewer TV ADs? More Grassroots?

And this is a bad thing?

 Wondering

How are the Tampa Bay state reps and senator races doing raising $$??

How much will Nina raise?

Jack Latvala raised 230k in a little over 2 months. Not bad i'd say

That's all

All Nina (It's all about the kids... well, for 8-months at least) Hayden will raise is more questions about her integrity.

Ray Sansom Raising Money for Latvala

Ray Sansom and Jay Odom have been quietly raising a lot of money for Latvala.

Since, Bill McCollum and the GOP are keeping the $1,000,000 that Odom gave them Latvala figures - Oh well, why not me.

Look for more lobbyists money to be given to Latvala during the next few months.

The Republican delegation - the best money can buy!

LOL

I heard sansom was going to endorse Latvala this week followed by Foley, Ensign and Sanford

Nina's boss wrote a check

Latvala had some impression names on his fundraising list, but the one that stands out is Nina's boss and his wife.

Doesn't look like Latvala is having trouble raising money...
Jay

I think Jack is good for a couple of airplane hangars if he gets elected!

Find something new

Tagging latvala to something that happened before he was elected isnt going to cut it. He didnt serve a day with Sansom and Odom has never given to any of his campaigns.

The double dipper who's own boss isnt supporting her is going to need to find something new.
