Rubio campaign responds to Fasano

Marco Rubio's U.S. Senate campaign didn't take long getting back to state Sen. Mike Fasano. "Thank you for your letter regarding Governor Crist's strong support for the Obama Stimulus. Or should we say his former support for the Obama Stimulus?" the campaign wrote in a letter to Fasano distributed to the press. "Or is he supporting it again today? Regardless, thank you for your letter."
Fasano said in his Nov. 12 letter to Rubio that he was "disappointed" in the remark and said it "demonstrates a lack of maturity." He ended the one-page letter by asking Rubio how exactly he would have balanced a state budget with a $6-billion shortfall if he refused stimulus dollars
Rubio's campaign's letter, signed by spokesman Alex Burgos, does not answer that question. But it points to a televised interview earlier this year in which Fasano said he did not support the stimulus package.
"Your letter misrepresents Marco Rubio's position on the Stimulus package. Unless you have followed Gov. Crist's lead and changed your position, Mr. Rubio agrees with you that Governor Crist was wrong to endorse it."
"As you know, Rubio believes the Obama-Crist Stimulus to be an incredible waste of taxpayer money and a massive failure. (Speaking of wasting taxpayer money, we noticed you sent your campaign letter using your official Florida Senate email."
The letter goes on to say that Rubio has been asking Crist for a series of debates on the stimulus.
"Unless you have recently changed your mind as well, you are both an opponent of the stimulus and a fervent Charlie Crist supporter. Therefore, you are in a unique position to help facilitate these debates. These debates will offer your candidate, Charlie Crist, the opportunity to outline all the benefits that almost $800 billion of deficit spending has brought to Florida and the country."

Spank the freak!

"Speaking of wasting taxpayer money, we noticed you sent your campaign letter using your official Florida Senate email."

Oooohhhh; SNAP!

Let's have a coming out party...

Good for Rubio to push back!

As I said before, Fasano and Christ have two things in common - - - both are empty suits and both need to come out of the closet!

Now, I believe it is three things... add hypocrisy!

Open the closet door first, please

Spank the freak, go ahead; I think he'd like it!

Fasano, like Gov. Crist, are phiosophically liberal and therefore opposed to what the majority of the GOP stands for.

Artist

Good for the Rubio camp. Fasano needs to get slapped around a bit. He's got his nose way up Charlie's rear.

The costs may not be much, but the fact that Fasano sent the letter on taxpayer money is a blatanat example of how some politicians almost automatically are willing to spend my money and yours without any hesitation to further their own egos. What benefit do the taxpayers get for Fasano using public funds to send a garbage letter to Rubio? What else has he been using our money for? Maybe he needs to show us his American express bills.

This is the same kind of arrogance that Crist has shown time and again. He thinks we're stupid - like we won't remember that he did endorse the stimulus plan or thinking we would believe that he didn't know Obama was in Florida.

I say get rid of Crist and take Fasano with him.

It must be easy to be a politician when all you have to do is throw around the party line without offering any real solutions.

Once you get past the hyperbole I think Fasano asked a legitimate question, Mr. Rubio - how would you balance the budget without stimulus dollars? What services would you cut? What taxes (gasp) would you raise?

This voter would like to know.

My guy Mike.

Abuse Alert!

It's time to start taking bets on who these morons are. I'm thinking it's either Patrick Schorsch or Jammie Bennett. Anyone else?

Fred

Rubios problem is that he only has principles and he has no ideas.

Does email really cost the taxpayers money? How so, kemosabe?

carlos

When you think about it, Crist did no harm. The stim pkg was already going to pass. He made a deal with Obama to get a waiver on the state requirements. He saved us a lot of money; all in "support" of a bill that would have passed no matter what he did.
