I'm not sure if clogging the streets, yelling at drivers and making a scene is the best way to demonstrate cyclists' rights on the road, but if you're into that sort of thing, Critical Mass returns to St. Petersburg on Friday. Sure, you can come out to "protest pollution caused by car-culture", or you can just show up to ride your bike.
Whatever your reason, be at Williams Park at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
After the success of last month's ride, I wouldn't be surprised to see an even bigger crowd this time around.
Ride safe everyone.

I believe the idea is to leave a lane open this time. That is the ONLY way CM will be allowed to continue and hopefully be fruitfull.

This is a tough one. I'd like to think that a hundred bicycle riders, each riding quietly and safely and legally in their own neighborhood, have a more positive overall effect on the community's view of bicycles than a hundred riders clogging one steet one time downtown.
But that's just me.

These CM rides are a great way to help bolster the already fragile/volatile relationship and cyclists...not. Do something positive, not ride your fixie and make yourself look like an idiot...

Last time was as much fun as I've had on a bike in a long time. Don't be scared, don't be an old frilly pants, just show up and have fun.

So you're saying I look like an idiot on my fixie?
News to me.
