Dog snatched by hawk? Maybe not: He's alive!
The dog that disappeared from a kennel near Orlando, supposedly snatched by a hawk, has been found, reports local6.com. The little Papillon, May, was found wandering at a nearby school Thursday afternoon. The kennel told the Gusler family there was no other explanation for why May disappeared, since the kennel yard was fenced in and secure. No word yet on whether any student at the school has reported that May ate his homework.

What is this kennel's business name and where is it located? I want to be sure I don't take any of my pets there for safekeeping. They obviously can't keep track of their business.

I can't believe the kennel was so quick to not accept blame and say that a hawk carted the dog off. Mistakes happen, but to out and out lie is a sign of shady business.

Pete, if you click on the local6.com link in the post it will take you to the story with more details. But to save you the trouble, it's called the Pet Lodge and it's in Oviedo.

It might have been a Dino Hawk and it left the dog alone for there was not enough blubba.

I am happy to hear that May is still alive, but I wonder how the kennel is going to try to "sweep this under the carpet" and who they will pass the buck to.

Those were my sentiments exactly hawkman..I had something very similar happen to my chiuahua. Had her out on enclosed deck and twice one tried to carry her off. The look like rodents, close or from afar. Only difference is I believe a dog is more apt to defend itself by fighting back.

Yet ANOTHER example of gross inefficiency !!!!!

Thank goodness a hawk didn't cart the precious pup away. Then we'd have people demanding that "all hawks must be killed because a small child will be next!" Just like the idiots demanded that gators need to killed when the owners don't keep their pets on leashes.

It wasn't a hawk, it was a paradactyl.
