Police behaving badly, Part I

When a cop car rear-ended another car in February, the officers involved decided to pin the blame on the victim, SunSentinel.com reports.

So Alexandra Gabriela Torrensvilas, 23, of Hollywood, ended up being charged with four counts of drunken driving and cited for an improper lane change.

“We’ll do a little Walt Disney to protect the cop because it wouldn’t have mattered because she is drunk anyway,” one of the cops said.

Unfortunately for him, that comment was among ones caught on a police dashboard camera, which all the cops apparently had forgotten about.

After reviewing the videotape, the Broward County state attorney’s dropped the drunken driving charge. And the cops who were involved have been placed on administrative duty pending an internal affairs investigation.
