Man throws darts at other bar patrons, defecates in parking lot, gets arrested

According to police, a 44-year old Port St. Lucie man had too much to drink late Sunday, threw darts at other customers in Mickey Finn's bar and, when escorted from the premises by a bouncer, pulled down his pants and defecated in the parking lot.

Police said the bartender "cut off" Scott D. Leonard "due to Mr. Leonard’s behavior as he was throwing darts at other patrons.”  When the bouncer removed him via the back door, "Mr. Leonard was angered with this and proceeded to pull down his pants and underwear and defecated onto the rear parking lot.” according to an affidavit.

Since neither the bar owner nor any of the patrons wished to press charged, the police officer called a cab and watched Leonard get inside and leave.  However, the officer was summoned again when Leonard later returned to the bar, wanting to drive his own car home.  A bar employee grabbed the keys, a ruckus ensued and, according to the report, Leonard was arrested on a disorderly intoxication charge and carted off to the St. Lucie County jail.

Shoe-cam voyeur takes pictures of women trying on bathing suits

Trying on swimsuits is traumatic enough for most women, especially given the hideous lighting in most dressing rooms.   But imagine for a moment how you would feel if you looked down and saw a male-size black shoe poking under the dressing room door.  You'd probably say something, right?  Maybe even confront the dude.

Which would likely make him run away.  Especially if he happened to be hiding a camera in his shoe...which he'd been using to take pictures of you in various stages of undress.

Ugh.

Double ugh.

Triple ugh...because three different women reported this happening to them at a Neptune Beach swimwear shop.

Police managed to catch the culprit -- one Jeffery Polizzi -- when store employees noticed a parked vehicle they were not used to seeing.  Police waited a few hours till Polizzi showed up, got in the vehicle, and took off.  After a short chase, police caught up to him and found a camera attached to the tongue of his shoe.  "He cut about a 2-inch hole to put a camera in," a police spokesman said.

"It is unusual. It's the only one that I know of around."

Polizzi was arrested and charged with video voyeurism.  He pled no contest at his first court appearance and was sentenced to four months in jail.

Florida-Georgia game sparks domestic battery arrest

Rack up at least one domestic battery incident linked to last weekend's Florida-Georgia game, WJXT in Jacksonville reports.  Veronica Hairston, a Florida Gators fan, was arrested after Neptune Beach police said she bit and pummeled her husband while watching the game on Saturday at a local motel.  According to police, Hairston began taunting her husband as the Gators pulled ahead of the Bulldogs.  When he picked up his bags and tried to leave, police said, she bit him on the thigh and then punched him several times in the face before taking off.  Police found her after a brief search and charged her with domestic battery.  Alcohol was a factor, according to police.  (TV news report includes video.)

Stolen croc, wild gators land Jax man in jail

State wildlife investigators announced Thursday they have arrested a Jacksonville man and are seeking another on charges they stole a crocodile to keep in their backyard with four alligators (see photo). 

The gators came from the wild, Investigators say, and the New Guinea crocodile had been swiped from the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Robert S. Hayes, 55, has been charged with four misdemeanor counts and a felony, while Scott Hayes, 26, remains at large.

Investigator Kevin Larson said the men kept the gators and crocodile in a concrete pond, and “they would put corn around the pond and then put a chicken in the enclosure to eat the corn. The gators and crocodile would then eat the chicken.”
