Ozzy Osbourne, Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold lead Jacksonville’s Welcome to Rockville lineup

RECOMMENDED READING

Jacksonville's Welcome to Rockville festival just went nuclear.

The hard rock and metal festival, which expanded from one day to two in 2013, will expand yet again in 2018, with an absolutely jaw-dropping lineup from April 27-29.

Ozzy Osbourne, Avenged Sevenfold and Foo Fighters will headline the three-day festival at Metropolitan Park, organizers announced Monday. Joining them near the top of the bill are Queens of the Stone Age, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, Stone Sour, Billy Idol and many, many more. If that's not worth a three- to four-hour drive, what is?

Single-day general admission tickets start at $75; weekend passes start at $100. Click here to get them.

But before you purchase, consider: Welcome to Rockville takes place the same weekend as Tampa's 98 Rockfest and South Florida's Fort Rock Festival, and many acts play more than one event. Last year, for example, a handful of artists played both Welcome to Rockville and 98 Rockfest, including headliner Soundgarden. Foo Fighters have already announced a Tampa show on April 25, so there's a chance others could follow.

Here's the rest of Welcome to Rockville's lineup (so far) by day:

FRIDAY, April 27: Ozzy Osbourne, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, the Used, Parkway Drive, Underoath, Trivium, Atreyu, Power Trip, Texas Hippie Coalition, '68, Palisades, While She Sleeps, Bad Wolves, Them Evils

SATURDAY, April 28: Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Breaking Benjamin, Hollywood Undead, Killswitch Engage, Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria, Sevendust, Pop Evil, Andrew W.K., Avatar, Butcher Babies, Red Sun Rising, Joyous Wolf, Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown, Stick To Your Guns, Palaye Royale, The Wild! and more to be announced

SUNDAY, April 29: Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Billy Idol, Clutch, Bullet For My Valentine, Thrice, Greta Van Fleet, Baroness, Quicksand, Red Fang, the Sword, the Bronx, Turnstile, the Fever, Black Foxxes, Fireball Ministry, Spirit Animal
