This is a great book and is like I Freddy, a battle book I had to read last year. Christopher becomes a great poet like Freddy becomes a great writer. It ends very well when Christopher gets reunited with his sister.

Does anyone elses want to strangle Aubery Sharp the Third? I think he is a cheap rip-off artist and want to kick him in the shins and call him one. In the book, he tricks Christopher's caring owner Freddy into giving away Christopher. Aubery even might sell Christopher to a taxidermist

I really liked the part where Christopher mouse escaped from Aubrey's palm and ran and hid in the couch.Did you ever like this part?My mom would react the same way as the women reacted when they found that Christopher was hiding in the drawer and that he ate their nuts. This book reminds me of the movie Ratituille.Doed it remind you of that movie BBBBBBByyyyyyyyEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really love the book Christopher
Mouse:The Tale Of A Small Traveler!
My favorite part of the book is, when
Christopher Mouse prays to a cat statue. What is your favorite part?
It's a blast for a bookreader.
So if you can't find a book and
your a 3rd-5th grader read Christopher Mouse: Tale Of A Small Traveler, is the book for you!

I thought this was at least the 2 best book I have ever read.I had a blast reading it.If my mom saw a rat, she would dash olympic-style out of the house!

This was the second best BOB book I have read so far. Freddy is very nice but also a little dim-wited.If my mom had seen a rat in her house she would scream so loud that it will scare my neighbors!!This is a very good book and I hope you have a blast reading it.

We think this book was awesome! It was great because it was alot of adventure. The characters are the best exspeially Christopher Mouse. Our favorite part was when Chistopher was in the office and the ladies went crazy because they saw him and they didn't like mice.

I thought the book had a lot of deatils. I also thought this book was emotional too. Did you like this book?
Posted by: e.s. | December 14, 2007 at 01:44 PM
I.C.,
About your second comment with Aubrey Sharppe III, I totally know what you're talking about. But I think the proper term for him is "Devious Evil 10-year-old con artist". Watch out Aubrey Sharppe the third. I may be a girl, but I know karate!
Posted by: ELC | December 16, 2007 at 08:42 AM
Two things:
1. Yes, it kinda reminds me of the movie.
2. It's spelled "Ratatoullie"!

J.G.-
It's a anme for boys AND girls. (But I would hate being named Aubrey, even if I was a boy.)

I thought that this book was really neat and interesting because it was about a mouse who is a little part of a big world. The book was sad at times but it was also very funny. In the end it was worth it. If you are thinking about reading this book I would recomend it. Have fun reading!!
Posted by: L.M. | December 17, 2007 at 11:28 AM
I think this book is the best book I ever read yet!! It's sad because in the beginning, Christopher's mom has to tell him that he is not going to be with her all her life. I think it was good at the end when he meets his sister again

If you like a sad beginning and happy ending now you should read this book. I though it was sad at the beginning because he got seperated from his mother when he finally opened his eyes. Also, this book remind me of Charlotte's Web because both of the kid's parents were kind of confused when they found the animals. They found their children talking to the animals. If parents found me talking to my animals, they would call me crazy and take me to the hospital!

This was my favorite of all the books I have read so far from this year's list. I liked the ending because it allowed the reader to formulate their own ending. I would recommend this book for those who enjoy adventures.

I just loved Christopher and his family. I was sad when Freddy traded him to the wicked Aubrey Sharp III, and I wondered who I should show more love and gratitude to in my own life. I admire Christopher for his positive attitude and for the way he tried so hard to survive. I loved his poetry too. This book was exciting and a lot of fun. I just know he and Anna were reunited.

I hate Aubrey so much. Why Aubrey? Why? Any way I liked the book. Some of it was so funny. But I’m still mad at Aubrey. I am going to hunt her down! But the book was good. I have to say that the author was good at making the book. I hate Aubrey! Freddy is off the chain for real dog.
Posted by: T.P Mrs.Admire,4th grade,Dunedin Elementary | March 24, 2008 at 01:41 PM
I can’t believe that Aubrey Sharp the third was going to sell the cute little Christopher Mouse to the taxidermist! What a horrible thing to do to a poor little creature! Freddy was so foolish to give away Christopher to the little monster Aubrey, at least he should have traded Christopher for that pocket knife! But still it was a wonderful book as well was it funny and sometimes a little scary like with the interaction with the real and fake cat. But at the end when Anna and Christopher are reunited it nearly brought me to tears of happiness. But I agree that anybody should read this book by William Wise.

I thought the book was ok. I would rate this book on the scale from 1-10 would be a 7. What I didn’t like about it, was what happened to Aubrey’s deal and Christopher's mother and at the end if it was really Anna! My two favorite parts are 1.when he saw the giant cats shadow and 2.when Christopher had to escape the two office girls. Christopher Mouse is a good book!

My opinion about the book is that it’s a great book for children and even though it is a made up story it also teaches children that you should take care of your animals. My opinion about the characters are: Aubrey is a mean lying boy, Anna is a sweet and lovable mouse, Freddy knows who is a good friend, and Christopher Mouse is an adventurous mouse.

From my personal view I love this story. It had some of everything it had poetry, feeling, heart stopping moments, and telling you more of what the characters are about. All of these can put you in a position that you do not want to put the book down. All of these things that I am telling you is what I look to find in a book that I pick up and read. So I just want to say thank you and I hope that I will see more books that have those things.

I really enjoyed reading Christopher Mouse by William Wise. My favorite part of this story was when Christopher Mouse visited the museum and was able to escape from the matchbox. It seemed his life was finally going to get back on track.
In the beginning of this story Christopher Mouse’s first owner, Freddy, took such good care of him. He was able to eat and live like a king. Then the mean boy Aubrey came into the picture and his life changed. Aubrey tricked naïve Freddy into giving Christopher Mouse to him. That was when the life of the happy mouse changed. He knew he had to do something and do it quick.
Lucky for him he met the nice people, Walter and Abby, at the museum and they took care of him. They brought him home and let their children have a new pet. I like the way this book came full circle and was able to have a happy ending. Although towards the end of the book I got a little nervous that Christopher Mouse might not make it. The suspense was killing me and I couldn’t put it down until I knew Christopher Mouse was going to be ok. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to my friends.

This is an outstanding book! It has exiting parts, sad parts, happy parts and so much more! This book is about a small white mouse who is bred to be sold to either a medical laboratory or to a pet shop to hopefully be sold to a caring owner. Christopher was born with three white brothers and one little sister, Anna. Christopher knew he liked her best. Later in the book, their brothers were sold to a medical laboratory, but luckily Anna and Christopher went to a pet shop called Pete’s Pet shop and hopefully they go to a good owner, you’ll have to read it yourself to find out ! Have fun reading this great book!

Christopher was a smart mouse, he had good times and bad times. Christopher had got sold to a nice boy named Freddy .He took good care of him until he traded with this nasty boy name Aubrey Sharpe the 111.He tricked Freddy into giving Christopher Mouse to him. When Christopher went home with Aubrey Sharpe the 111 Aubrey didn`t take good care of Christopher so when Aubrey went on a field trip Christopher escape and then he was free at last from Aubrey. And then at the end I think he had meet Anna again. And that`s what I think of Christopher Mouse The Tale Of A Small Traveler.

Christopher Mouse was a great white mouse but had a bad time and a good time.
Christopher Mouse was a good book by William Wise.
Christopher got sold to a kid named Freddy and had a great time with him.
But a rude kid named Aubrey Sharpe the III was going to sell to a taxidermist.
Christopher excepted on a fieldtrip and made his way to a house with an old lady with a husband that had their grand children that wanted to keep them and get a new mouse that they never said it was Anna or not that was the book said.

Christopher mouse is a great book. It’s about a mouse that has an adventure. It starts out at a cage in Mrs.Crimmins to Pete’s pet shop to an owner named Freddy to a bad owner named Aubrey Sharp the third. He went to a field trip to a museum where Christopher was going to be sold to a taxidermist. So Christopher escapes. After 1 day he found a new owner and he lives happily ever after.

Christopher Mouse is one of the best books I ever read. Christopher is nervous, then courageous, like Poppy the Deer Mouse. Here are facts about Christopher.
1 Christopher was born in a litter of five, 3 brothers and a sister.
2 He had to live with mean old Aubrey Sharp III for a while.
3 Christopher is reunited with his sister Anna (they got separated) at the end.
4 He is a white mouse.
5 He lives in New York.
6 For a long time Christopher lives in a museum.
7 He had a wise mother.

I loved Christopher Mouse because it taught you how to take care of a mouse. And that it told us how much a house mouse could goes thought to find a good owner.

And I really like the book.

William Wise has created a wonderful tale of a mouse that gets sold to a pet shop and then is conned out of his beloved owner. Now he must find a way to escape, for his new owner is wicked and cold hearted. He wants to sell him to a taxidermist who will kill him and stuff him afterward. He decides to escape during the school field trip because he knows the family cat will try to eat him if he escapes in the house. When his owner is in the building for the field trip, he makes his successful escape. But you will have to read the book to find out what happens next. Christopher Mouse is a great book to read to a class or to read to yourself. This is no ordinary diary. This is the diary of Christopher Mouse.

I love this book. This is now my favorite book. My favorite person is Christopher. He’s a cute little white mouse. I wish I had a mouse like that. The person I don’t like the most is Aubrey. He’s trying to sell Christopher but all Aubrey wants to be like his father. You should read this book because it’s all about a small mouse that wants to find an owner that cares like Freddy. So when Aubrey field trip comes Christopher escapes then he sees a young lady and comes up to her and she feeds him and gives him water then the lady let Christopher stay with her and her kids and later there where going to buy another mouse and Christopher thinks it might be his sister Anna.

I think Christopher Mouse was spectacular. But Christopher Mouse had his ups and downs in life. That we know of. I recommend this book for people that like happy full circle endings.

1 Fact about Christopher mouse is that he had a great owner but did not show a lot of attaching to Freddy

Christopher mouse was a good book because it had action and the mouse was a cutie .But in the begging he had 3brother and 1 sister. There was Christopher owner Mrs. Crimmins had taken his 3 brothers and it was just Anna his sister. Then Mrs. Crimmins came back for Christopher and Anna she sell them to the pet shop .Then a little girl came to the pet shop and she wanted a little white mouse so she picked Anna. After that day Christopher was lonely and he was sad. A few days passed by until this little boy Freddy bought him and Freddy took good care of him. I think you should read it.

I relished this book but if I could rate this book I would give it a 100% . I hated Aubrey Sharpe the 3 because he was trying to sell Christopher .and I hated the taxidermist because he killed all the animals that come to his shop. But I liked Freddy because he was nice .Mrs. Crimmins was mean to.

I really liked this story because it kept me on my toes. It was never was boring. Parts of the book were phenomenal, like when Christopher Mouse got loose in the art museum and was startled by a Egyptian cat statue. But my favorite part was when Aubrey Sharpe III was treating him awful when he had Christopher as a pet and then Christopher escaped into the art museum!

I think that the book Christopher Mouse was wonderful! Christopher goes on lots and lots of adventures. He goes to the museum and Mrs. Crimmins house, plus I love Anna because she cares about her big brother. Her and her brother wanted to be together when they moved from Mrs.Crimmins house. But when the person sent them to Pete’s pet shop, a little girl named Angelica Rose bought Anna! But the part that I didn’t like was when Christopher was separated from his mom and Anna. But I have a quick question: why wasn’t his dad in the story and where did his brothers and sisters go?

I think the book is very entertaining and comical and has great adventure because it takes you through dangerous places you wouldn’t imagine. Anna was a great sister to Christopher until they were separated because a miniature girl named Angelica Rose came into the store and bought Anna. Christopher was dejected but a few days later a pleasing slight boy named Freddy bought Christopher and took splendid care of Christopher. Freddy took Christopher home, then his friend Aubrey came over and started lying to Freddy so he would feel sorry and give him Christopher. He started telling him things that weren’t true.

I think Christopher Mouse is a thrilling perioulis adventure through the dangers of a mouses life.At a young age he was seperated from his brothers there were two places you could go if you were born in Mrs.crimmins house a labrotory or the pet shop. There mother told them that it's better to go to the petshop than the labrotory. If they go to the petshop you'll have to read the book.

I liked Christopher Mouse because when Christopher was adopted that made me feel kind of sad and plus he wanted to be with Anna, his youngest sister. But when Christopher was at the pet store, Christopher was sold for free. Anna had got adopted by a little girl named Angelica Rose, that`s when Christopher was sad and lonely. That`s when Aubrey Sharpe III came and said to the owner of the store that his dad is getting bankrupt and said that he really wanted a pet, then at the end he found a family that took good care of him.

I thought the book was EXCELLENT! Because you know it was an adventurous tale. I got into the book a lot. It was interesting to me. it was sad , exciting, scary, and happy. It got scary when he was going to sell Christopher to the taxidermist. It was sad when Anna and Christopher got separated. The whole thing was exciting. I liked the ending but I didn’t. I liked it because it was so exciting I was going to lose my head, and I didn’t like it because I was getting my hopes up and I was looking forward to Anna being the mouse they were going to bring home. That’s why I relished the book.

Well, I really prefer this book because it has a curious ending. It was a lonely adventure.I like Freddy, and Anna and the Smith family. And who I didn`t like was Aubrey Sharpe III and the taxidermist plus Mrs. Crimmins. Anna was adopted by a litle girl name Angelica Rose. Read this book it is really good.

I thought the book was excellent because it was an adventurous book. Another reason why I cherished the book is because it was interesting to me. I especially liked the part when Freddy was the kid that was really nice to Christopher and took good care of him. The part I didn’t like was when Aubrey Sharp the 3rd lied to Freddy about his life and Freddy gave Christopher to Aubery. Then Aubery lied to Freddy and said “Oh Christopher died!” That’s the part I really didn’t like. Also I really hoped Angelica Rose would take Christopher home too. That’s why I cherished the book.

I love the Book Christopher mouse by William Wise because it was funny, dramatic and sad. My favorite part was when Christopher got stuck inside the bowl, got out by a paper towel, and then he scooted up the paper towel. He got out then. He walked around then went behind a heating tube then slowly fell asleep. That’s why I love Christopher Mouse by William Wise a genius.

The book I read was Christopher Mouse by William Wise. What I liked about it was, when Christopher was in a bad family but then he was in good family. Another part in the book is when he was in the Museum and he was stuck and the girls freaked out, that was so funny! But then in an hour or so he found a girl with a family. She took very good care of him, plus the kids loved him. Well, knowing he is in a good family I am very happy. One more thing I thought was funny was when Christopher was acting like he got hurt when he got squeezed; that scared me at first but then I just cracked up. I am voting for this book.

The book I read was Christopher Mouse by William Wise. My favorite part of the story was when Christopher Mouse ate all the peanuts. In the morning when the two ladies came into work they caught Christopher and tried to kill him with the umbrella. There was a lot of action in that part.
The first owner’s name was Freddy. He took good care of Christopher. He gave Christopher freshwater and food. Freddy gave him to a friend. He did not take care of Christopher. One day Christopher escaped. Now he did not belong to anybody.

The book I read is Christopher Mouse by William Wise. I thought the book was great because it is about a boy named Freddy that got a white mouse. He met a boy named Aubrey that lied and said that he never had a pet before. Aubrey said that his parents were poor. Freddy gave Christopher to Aubrey and he never cleaned his cage. Christopher ran into a cat there too. Aubrey tried to sell him to a taxidermist. They had a field trip and the mouse got lost, but he found a great person to take care of him. I thought it was funny when he thought that a cat was a statue, but Christopher thought that the cat was real. I got scared at the end because the writer made the end sound like Christopher was going to die, but luckily he didn’t.

The book I read was called Christopher Mouse by William Wise. The
book was good. I was sort of getting confused as to who was Christopher’s keeper. The book had great humor; one character I didn’t like was Aubrey Sharp the 3rd. The reason I didn’t like him was he lied about being poor and he had a bag full of tricks. One character I did like was Freddy, he was a better owner than Aubrey Sharp the 3rd. Freddy fed him the right food like crackers and gave him water and played with him. Then he met nice people named Walter, Abby, and Lucy. They treated him well just like Freddy did. Then Christopher Mouse got sick. I thought he was going to die but he didn’t and I was happy. But I didn’t really want him to get sick. When he Christopher got better I was happy because another mouse was coming to comfort Christopher Mouse and it was his sister. The ending almost made me cry.

I really enjoyed reading Christopher Mouse by William Wise. My favorite part of this story was when Christopher got treated well by Freddy. Freddy gave Christopher Mouse cheese & nuts to eat. Aubrey, the boy Freddy gave Christopher to, gave Christopher Mouse turtle food to eat. Aubrey was going to give Christopher Mouse to a taxidermist, but Christopher was able to escape successfully. This was when Christopher found a nice new owner.

The book I read was Christopher Mouse by William Wise. I like this book because it goes happy sad. At some points it scared me alot. Like when Freddy gave Christopher to Aubrey and Christopher got out in the Museum before Aubrey sold him to a taxidermist that tried to kill him. Then Walter and Abby fond him and kept him. I noticed throughout the story no one named him. At the end of the story I thought Christopher was going to die.

The book I read was Christopher Mouse by William Wise. My favorite part was at the end of the story. It is the part when Christopher got sick and almost died. It put a tear in my eye. But it was a very special tear like a love tear. Well someone was holding him so tight that he could not breathe so I had to give Miss Price, my teacher, a box a of tissues because she was about to burst out crying she was going to make the rug all wet.
Well that was the story I read. It was GREAT!!!I loved his book!!!! But Christopher Mouse sounded like he was never LOVED I felt sorry for him (BUT LOVE THE BOOK)

The book I read was Christopher Mouse by William Wise. The book has good vocabulary and details. My opinion is it is best at the middle and ending. Also, I like how Christopher and Anna get split up and find each other again. My least favorite character was Aubrey, a wicked devilish evil boy, who was going to sell Christopher to a taxidermist. Out of all of the owners, Freddy was my favorite. The best part of the story was when Christopher found Anna again. The saddest part was when Freddy gave Christopher away to Aubrey. The thing that I noticed was the owners never named Christopher.
I recommend this book for anybody!
