I just wanted to say that i just loved the way thatthe author wrote this inspring book. Even though that it made me cry a little bit, i think that this bok should be read to or given to slaves that are out there because this explains how taking risk can make an impact on your life; whether it's good or not.

When Master Derby shot the baby and had the audacity to tell the doctor that his wife had a stillbirth, I felt betrayed. I thought about how the slaves kept the babies that were fathered by the masters. The book was so real and relevant.
