drita my homegirl is a good book so far

I liked the book Drita, My Homegirl where one girl was from N.Y. and the other one was from Kosova. One stuck up for the other one in basketball. Drita showed her courage and that's what I liked.

My favorite part of Drita, My Homegirl was when Drita's mom came back home from the hospital.

I liked about Drita, My Home Girl because I liked the ending when Maxie and Drita became friends.

I like at the end when both of the girls said the speech.

this was one of the most fasanating books for girls

Drita my Homegirl is a good book she meat a new friend andcalm down she was bad but she got over it.

I love the book Drita My Homegirl.I like the part when Drita came from Kosovo to America. When Drita came to school she didn't know any english. She learned english by interacting with her friend.

This book is about a girl name Drita who moves from Kosvoa to New York and goes to a new school and meets a girl named Maxie. Maxie did not like Drita, but after she had to write a report on Drita's country then she became friends with her. It's a good book for everybody including boys!

i loved this book so much! it was excellent and was a great story with friendship! =] You should definatily read it!

I like the book but I don't get why the only have chapters named after a chareter.

Reading the St. Pete Times Sunday newspaper (Feb. 17, section A) I saw an article "Kosovo prepares to declare its independence" and I immediately thought of Drita, My Homegirl. I thought of how happy Drita's Mom would be to know that the war was ending in her home country after a decade!!! I could just imagine the celebration that they would have and how they would invite Maxie and her grandmother to be part of it. Who knows, maybe Jenny Lombard could write another book about Drita and her family AFTER the war!!

Drita, My Homegirl is a great way to show how easy it is to overcome differences, conquer your biggest obstacles, and how a true friend is all you really need.

Keep in mind: Though you might think otherwise from the comment, I'm only in 4th Grade.

this book was really good.this book was about a girl named drita who moved from kosova all the way to n.y. at first drita knew no one at all. not knowing any english made it hard making friends as well. maxie always lived in new york.maxie didnt like drita until she said something mean. then maxie felt sorry for drita.one day while playing basketball maxie's group needed an extra player.drita played and she was good.then a hitting insident happened.drita's mom knew nothing about this.but in the end drita's mom was in the hospital.a great ending though:maxie and drita became friends and drita's mom was out of the hospital.maxie and drita went to eachothers houses more too.
