Riordan has created an amazingly put-together book which absolutely captures the reader! The mix between real and the mythological worlds is very cleverly written and the reader can actually picture the world that way! It is a must-read for any age!

This book based on mythology is purely awesome. The mix between the mythological and real worlds was a genius idea. Percy Jackson is perfectly molded character.

This book perfectly balanced the action with the comedy all while keeping me glued to the book wondering what will happen next. The twist and turns of this book are truly clever and captivating, I can't wait till I read the next book in this series.

This book is incredible. I think the thought that the Greek gods are in N.Y. and the Underworld is in L.A. is amazing. I've already read the other two books in the series, and they both are just as good, if not better. I can't wait for the fourth book to come. I only wish this could be true.

I really enjoyed The Lightning Thief. It was so interesting to read and visualize the struggle that Percy went through to get to were he is.I'm just surprised at who the betrayer actually was. The whole time I thought the betrayer was his best friend from Yancy. This book was just full of surprises and twists.

I thought the plot for the Lightning Thief was pure genius because it had spectacular character. The characters had realistic reactions. The dialog between the characters was extremely interesting. This book was fantastic and if you haven't read yet then pick up a copy and start reading.

This book was a very action-packed book with a twist of Greek mythology.Rick Riordan is a very amazing author, his books sucks his reader into his world they can actually imagine the world a place that mythical creatures and humans can live together.this book is a must read for everyone!!

I think the book was well written, making beautiful fantasy scenes in ones head as they read this book. I love how it seems to be reality at first then crashes into some kind of mythological marathon. Definitely a book to read in my opinion!

Rick Riordan's book The Lightning Theif is a thrilling adventure book like none before. My eyes were glued to the book day and night. It's action and suspense made me feel like I was Percy Jackson, son of Posiden. When I realized it was the book was part of a series there was no stopping me from reading the rest. Plus I can't wait for the fourth book that is coming out soon.

Omigosh! This book was amazing, Percy keeps getting kicked out of schools and having a rough time, or at least he thinks he is, but that's before he goes to Camp Half-Blood, where adventures and risks are abundant. I would keep going but then I would have to give away more. Read this book!

The Lightning Theif was a really great story. Everything was incredibly unexpected and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It is now one of my favorite books and I definintely plan on reading the other books in the series.

This book was amazing! I've NEVER read a book with ANY mythology in it that I couldn't put down! Not 2, but 4 thumbs up for Riordan's masterpiece! (Also, read his next 2 books in this series. They are just as awesome!)

I loved The Lightning Thief. I could not put it down. I cant wait to get the other books in the series. You should seriously read this book if you haven't already.
