Body of Skyway jumper found on rocks

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is recovering a body this morning from beneath the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said a man jumped from the bridge about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.

"Apparently the person dove onto the rocks,'' she said. "He didn't make it into the water.''

The person's identity is not known.
