Dungy draws big crowds

TAMPA - About 400 people turned out for Tony Dungy's 4 p.m. book signing. The parking lot at the Borders at N Dale Mabry Highway and Cypress Street is full and there's no more room in the store.

The first person in line was there before dawn.

The store is directing people to Dungy's second book signing today, at LifeWay Christian Store, 12689 Citrus Plaza Dr., where Dungy will be signing books from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

But 90 people already were in line by 4 p.m., said Amanda Hackbarth, lead sales associate at LifeWay. "It's been crazy,'' she said.

The store guarantees that the first 200 people in line will get the books signed, but all bets are off after that.

The former Bucs coach is promoting his new book, Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices and Priorities of a Winning Life.
