Mother, with three babies, arrested selling crack

TAMPA -- Police arrested a 24-year-old mother Sunday after she brought her children along to a drug deal.

Misty Lynn Flowers, of 9405 N 13th St., sold an undercover officer $100 worth of crack cocaine and drove away, said police Capt. John Newman.

Police pulled her over minutes later and found 2-year-old twins and a 6-month-old in her car. Flowers' mother soon arrived to collect them.

Flowers faces charges of child neglect, delivering cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church, cocaine possession and driving without a valid license. She is being held at the Orient Road Jail in lieu of $53,500 bond.

Is this really surprising to anyone? Good to see the police do not take Sunday's off. As a resident of Tampa I am pleased with the job the TPD does. Keep the pressure on, it's the only way.

This is not about Misty Lynn being a caucasian woman or an african american woman. This is about Misty Lynn not using common sense and taking her children with her to sell crack. What has possibly led this woman to these despirate means? Despiration or lack of good judgement?

I am a caucasian woman and if you want to get into the black white debate, look at the black and white of the newspapers recently, it would appear that a majority of the murders,chid kidnapings,rapes,domestic violence,drug, and robbery stories depicted recently are caucasians.

Like I said its not about race, it's about despiration and lack of good judgement.

In any case, I understand about a school rule (although I would change it to being on the premises) but what's up with a church rule?!?!?! Was she selling it to a supposedly church goer? The state made those laws about being 1,000 yards away from churches because of this type of situation. If this woman sold crack with her kids within 1,000 yards of the church, it is highly likely the Priests of that church would have sexually molested the kids before the drug transaction ended. that is why.
