Argument leads to arson charges in Tampa

Archie_2TAMPA -- Tampa Fire Marshals found Marie Lou Archie at a gas station, where she admitted setting fire to the home of a man she had been arguing with.

Fire officials said Archie, 47, and an unidentified 61-year-old man got into a skirmish at the man's home at 3205 E North Bay St. around 10 p.m.

Archie made some threats.

Shortly after she left, the man's front porch was on fire. Investigators estimate the damage at $50,000.

Jail records show Archie was arrested on felony charges of arson, possession of cocaine and introducing contraband into a detention facility. She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
