Sheriff's office identifies body found in burning stolen van

TAMPA -- The body of a woman found inside a burning van in Gibsonton on Thursday has been positively identified as that of Cuc Thu Tran, authorities said Saturday.

The 50-year-old Seffner woman went jogging early Thursday morning and did not return. Later that morning, Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies found the stolen blue 1993 Dodge van ablaze in an empty lot off Bullfrog Court in Gibsonton.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
