13-year-old stabbed at basketball game

Authorities in Lee County are looking for a person who stabbed a teenager at a basketball game in Lehigh Acres, the Associated Press reports. Sheriff's Office spokesman John Sheehan said the 13-year-old was stabbed at Varsity Lakes Middle School.

The boy was stabbed in the side, shoulder and leg. Sheehan says the injuries are not considered life-threatening, but the boy's condition is not yet known.

No arrests have been made.

Sheehan says the teenager was fighting with another boy who had a knife. The suspect fled after the attack.
