Pasco authorities investigating infant death

HUDSON - Pasco deputies are investigating the death of a 4-week-old girl after she was found not breathing at her home, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities responded to 15609 Madeline Drive about 9:18 p.m. Tuesday, where they found Naomi Rose Taylor, born Oct. 8. A preliminary investigation shows the baby's mother and father were sleeping with her in the same bed, woke up and noticed she wasn't breathing.

Pasco Fire Rescue tried to resuscitate her en route to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, where the infant was pronounced dead at 9:39 p.m.

The infant's parents are identified as Kayla Marie Hubbard, 18, and her boyfriend John Taylor, 18, both of 15609 Madeline Drive.

An autopsy will be performed later today. No foul play is suspected. The infant's death appears to be accidental, according to the Sheriff's Office's preliminary investigation.
