Riverview Elementary student? Stay tuned

Parents of Riverview Elementary School students will be notified via the county's IRIS phone system whether the school will be open tomorrow, said Hillsborough Schools spokeswoman Linda Cobbe.

The IRIS system blasts a phone call to the home addresses of all listed Riverview Elementary students, Cobbe said.

Cobbe encouraged Riverview Elementary families to stay tuned to news Web sites for updates about a possible school closure, which depends on the success of the ammonia leak repair, Cobbe said. That determination may be made as late as 10 p.m.
